Watching "The Pursuit of Happyness" tonight was almost a religious experience. Perhaps that is "blasphemous" because, although religion does play a small role in the movie, the overall story is about the triumph of a man against immeasurable odds.

One of the reasons for my "religious" feeling towards the film has to do with the audience that filled the theater for the 9:40 P.M. showing. For one thing, the audience was one of the largest I had seen in an Odessa, Texas theater in a long time. Even more importantly, the audience was definitely one of the most racially diverse groups I have ever seen. But, most important of all was the straight-forward tale "narrated" to us by the main character of the film, Chris Gardner.

All too often in this world, we take for granted what we are given. Sometimes, we accept defeat with barely a whimper. But some people such as Chris Gardner would not allow himself and his son to be defeated although he literally had nothing at one point in his life. Gardner invokes the words and the thoughts of Thomas Jefferson in his quest of happiness that was mentioned in our Declaration of Independence penned primarily by Jefferson. The fact that those words were even included in that document are amazing in themselves. Life, liberty and property rights are more frequently thought of as inalienable rights but the artist in Jefferson included the concept of pursuing happiness.

If you've seen the trailers or read any of the reviews, you already know that Chris Gardner is a man down on his luck. He has a wife that works double shifts as a waitress and a son who he thinks the world of but is barely able to support. Gardner was abandoned by his own father at three and has vowed that his own children will always know their father.

But, Gardner has sunk his life savings in a "bone density" machine that is barely more efficient than an x-ray machine and far more expensive. His life becomes one "bill collector" nightmare after the other to the point where his wife decides to leave him and his son. After his wife leaves, Gardner's life gets even worse as he is kicked out of his apartment.

By chance one day, Gardner runs into a very happy man with a fancy red car who says he is a stockbroker for a major firm. With no formal training, but with a brilliant mind and a strong will to succeed, Gardner gets a chance, albeit a very small chance, to work for the Dean Witter brokerage firm. While he is studying for the broker test, he and his son are living in abject poverty.

范文2WHAT I LOVED ABOUT THE FILM

Chris Gardner is portrayed to perfection by Will Smith in what is certainly one of the strongest performances of his life. Only his acting in "Ali" come close to his work here although he has had an extremely successful career ("Independence Day", "Men in Black", "Wild, Wild West", "Hitch"). Here, Smith shows both the strength and the courage of a man who is willing to fight against all odds and he does so without "overacting." We see Gardner lose his temper, almost lose his life but never give up on his quest for his and his son's happiness.

Gardner's son, Christopher, is played by Will Smith's real son, Jaden Smith, in his first motion picture role. Young Jaden does a fantastic job as the young boy who can live the life of abject poverty and still praise his father. The naturalness of the portrayal is obvious in every scene which speaks volumes for both father and son's talent.

This "naturalness" is also the result of the excellent directing of Gabriele Muccino, heretofore a director of Italian films as well as the fine screenplay by Steve Conrad ("The Weather Man"). The source material for the film is the book of the same name by the real Chris Gardner.

I also was impressed by the cinematography of Phedon Papamichael who shows both the beauty of San Francisco's richer sections, and the squalor of the downtrodden sections of the city.

The music composed by Andrea Guerra ("Hotel Ruwanda") is perfect for the film and is augmented by music from George Benson and other pop songs from the early 80's.

I went to the film with my wife and two stepdaughters who are in their early twenties. We don't always agree on the relative merits of the films we see. But all of us agreed that this is one of the best films produced in 2006. It shows the amazing strength of one person but represents the best is the American dream. Of course, for all the "Chris Gardners" in this country, there are countless individuals who don't succeed, but this film gives the hope that can be realized by faith in one's self and hard work.

To be honest, I've never seen anyone like Forrest Gump in a movie before.Forrest Gump who is unfortunately to be born with a lower IQ and the muscle problem, usually, people always think this kind of person can't be successful in doing anything. But, instead, this unlucky man has achieved lots of incredible success, he is a football star, a war hero, and later a millionaire!

Forrest Gump not only shares his innocence and purity with others, ,he also manages to retain that innocence through some very difficult times. I love Forrest that he doesn't lose his purity through the movie, or maybe he just can't ,but either way, this shows us don't need to be evil or really intelligent to be recognised or successful.

It is just a movie, so maybe it doesn't work like that in reality.A simply means is that the acting and story of this film got a high level like the real . And in my definition that's what a good movie should be able to do.

The story may sound simple, but the truth behind the words is remarkable. When I heard the name of the film first time, I considered the Shawshank to be a man’ name, but in fact it is a jail’s name——a hell in the world. Not only for the inhumanity of the jailors——they behaved brutally;

but also for the jail gnawed at people’ heart by keeping them waiting and waiting as life passed. It seemed that only those utterly worthless people who gave up

everything could survive. That’s where the story happened.

The part impressed me most is when Andy got out of the jail. He extended his arms in front of him in the heavy rain as if he were welcoming the fresh air and the freedom. At that moment, I saw the confidence win the darkness, discharging light dazzling the eyes in the dark blue sky. Under the light, I could feel my recreant heart being shivering as his voice said: “Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies!”

That’s why I like this film: it encourages people to fight to preserve the dignity of human beings, to appreciate the beauty of life, and the most importance is to keep hope forever. He once that is born, that is die. Everyone is the same. The only difference is whether busy living or busy dying.

The film tells us that even a man can live once, but if he keeps confidence, keeps hope and works his life right, then once is enough. The congfidence is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark, the hope is the chief happiness that this world affords,

nd the life should be full of the singing of the bird and the happiness hope brings. " What’s that do you think? It’s the trembling of the heart, the singing of the mind, the flying of the soul and the hope to be free.”

Yesterday I watched a movie named <Shrek> with my brother .It is so funny.

It is about a ogre.He is upset because he cannot be acceptted by other men because of his awful look.One day he gets a mission to rescue a princess so that the King gives back his mire.He,along with a talking donkey,goes through fire and water and finally reaches the tower where the princess is kept.He fights against the dragon that guards the princess.At last he rescues the princess.After that ,he gives her his first kiss.

This movie tells us,when we are not acceptted by others,at least,we should try to let them know us and don't say die.

What makes this story great? I must say that this is one of the most realistic movies I saw. Watching it is just like hearing an orphan telling about his hardships and struggles on the streets. The violence, the emotions, the realms of a third world country, and the beauty of love regardless of any situation was nicely presented on the movie. It also showed the kind of life the slams of India has - the children, the women, and the heartless adults. The nicest thing that I like about the movie is the light after dark part. That something good is possible when you just don’t lose hope. The innocent look and the sad eyes of Dev Patel are perfect for Jamal’s character. Frieda Pinto is really pretty, just the perfect flower on the movie. The rest of the characters are well-suited. This movie’s characters must be the well selected Indian actors.

I'm a little annoyed with Up right now, because it made me cry in the first 10 minutes.

Crying at the end of a movie is easier to hide -- you can mutter about allergies or how too much computer time makes your eyes red. But crying at the beginning of the movie makes you feel like an awfully sappy wuss. Thank goodness I had big ol' 3-D glasses on, which at least managed to hide any telltale traces of weakness ... until I cried again at the end, damn it.

Up is the latest film from Pixar, and this time the main character is not a robot or rat or monster, but rather a little old man who looks like Spencer Tracy and occasionally growls like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino. After his wife dies, Carl Fredericksen (Ed Asner) faces a lonely life ahead, possibly in a retirement community. He decides to have the adventure that he and his wife always dreamed of, and sets out for the quasi-legendary Paradise Falls in South America. His method of travel? The family home, lifted by an amazing

canopy of balloons. However, he isn't alone ... he's inadvertently picked up an enthusiastic 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer, Russell (Jordan Nagai), who only wants to help.

As the movie progresses, Carl's house stops being a means for escape and adventure, and turns into a burden that the two explorers have to drag around with them. And the movie shifts from a sweet and slightly fantastic story about how an older man copes with loneliness and regret, into a comic action-adventure tale with a setting and characters that would be right at home in Warner Bros. cartoons, especially the "Road Runner" series. Only instead of Wile E. Coyote, Carl and Russell find the explorer who inspired Carl when he was Russell's age, Charles Muntz (Christopher Plummer).

Up moves smoothly from romance to drama to fantasy to comedy to action-adventure and then back to sentimental drama again, without jolting your emotions around too much. The sentimental parts are sweet but not cloying or overdone. On the other hand, the

Carl-Russell relationship seemed a little too familiar to me, something we've encountered for decades, from "Dennis the Menace" to Bad Santa, without offering much that is new. I also would have liked Muntz to be a little less two-dimensional, so to speak. However, as a friend pointed out, Carl and Muntz have a wonderful dynamic that may remind you of not only Spencer Tracy but Kirk Douglas, together at last.

Co-director Pete Docter also directed Monsters, Inc., another Pixar comedy with some sweet moments and even a few that have you complaining about the allergies and the way that screen glare can make your eyes water. Bob Peterson, who contributed to scripts for Finding Nemo and other Pixar movies, co-directed and wrote the screenplay and voices one of the dogs. Pixar fans will appreciate the little touches typical of the

studio's films -- of course John Ratzenberger has a role, this time as a construction worker,

and there are a number of quick visual jokes that are impossible to catch in a single viewing.

It goes without saying, as it has for even the weaker Pixar entries, that the movie looks gorgeous. I saw Up in 3-D, found the 3-D effects to be very subtle ... so subtle that at times I wondered if parts of the film had been rendered into 3-D at all. The 3-D

occasionally adds some depth of field that enhances the overall look of the movie, but for the most part you could do without it and not miss anything. I'm a little sorry that the one theater in town with 4K digital is only showing the movie in 3-D because I would love to see how a high-quality traditional screening fares in comparison.

Up is good enough to be included in arguments about which Pixar film is best, although I would still fight for Ratatouille, myself. Is Up a children's film with side jokes for adults, a family film, or a film that's made for grownups but has many elements that children also can enjoy? At times it seems to fit in any of these categories as well as others -- it would be a great date film -- but ultimately it boils down to being a very good movie that defies demographic categorization. In other words, if you're old enough to sit quietly through a feature film, go see it. (And bring tissues.)

It eases the pain when I am wounded, cheers me up when I am sad, makes me more excited when I am already happy, even keeps me going when I am tired. I can not imagine what it must have felt like in my parents' days, when there was almost no music at all.

First and foremost, compared with classical music, popular music is a more direct way to express thoughts and emotion. It is true that classical music, with its inner beauty, deep emotion and well-designed movements, has a permanent attraction to people of all places and all ages. However, popular music, especially popular songs, using smooth and sweet melodies, vivid and straightforward lyrics, and emotional performances has fascinated most of common people, especially youngsters.

Carlo was the first who leaves away from the Die Welle because she doesn’t like the white shirt of Die Welle. From this story, we also can see that Wenger was so unconfident that he wanted to prove himself urgently. He graduated from the adult university and the education of his wife is higher than him. He looks down by other teachers and his class was

also robbed by others. However, in the Die Welle, he was satisfied and felt confident. Then, Die Welle step into the abyss of the Nazi dictatorship gradually. 海上钢琴师之所以成为经典，在于他的许多对话精确的体现了1900的内心。从小就呆在船上的1900对陆地充满了恐惧，他一生从未曾踏上陆地，只在双手游动于琴弦间时神游世界，和通过双眼观察旅客，体味人生百态。一个中年船客的话被一直记在他内心深处。那个船客告诉他，他听见大海说，生命是重大的，所以他才要改变。也许是因为那个人提到了海的声音他才能去相信，因为只有声音才是他与这个世界最直接最敏锐的沟通途径。他一直对陆地怀有矛盾的情感，他向往它，又不肯触及它，所以那个中年人的话让他相信，也许终有一天，他回离开船。——但是直到那一天他决定离开，他突然发现，外面的世界对他如此陌生，他从未接触过，不知何去何从，从哪里出发，终归何处，他对自己所能做的感到迷茫，对未知的感到害怕。他只能留在船上，即使，最后一起被炸药炸飞。

肖申克的救赎

安迪是一个性格有缺陷的人对自己妻子的背叛采取了谋杀的行为，虽然没有开枪，但是如果没有别人先杀害他们，安迪一定会进行谋杀的。这是为什么安迪会在狱中服刑而不上诉

的原因之一。服刑就是他在赎罪。但是他不乏理智。因为自己谋杀未遂，终生监禁量刑过高，所以他后来他从他徒弟的死得知自己假释和减刑是不可能的。安迪正是从徒弟的死看清了监狱长的嘴脸，也明白监狱长是不会让自己走出监狱的。所以他采取了越狱，并带走了监狱长的罪证。这也是对自己犯罪的一种救赎。影片之所以在后来给了安迪自由人的身份，就是因为安迪已经为自己的行为受到了惩罚。这二十年并不是冤狱，他已经为罪行受到了惩罚。尽管安迪的越狱依旧是一种犯罪，但是他还是获得了自由。该片教育我们在人生道路上我们都可能有过错，但是当过错罪不至死时，我们要身体力行并从良心上进行忏悔，但是一定不要放弃希望，要努力的解救自己，从希望中得到力量，从而走向光明！

幸福终点站

导演在机场这样一个小小的空间里展现一个时间跨度不小的故事，又不显拖沓，生硬。这是一部关于“等待”的电影。男主人公从踏进美国的第一步开始就在等待，他在等待美国签证的办理，等待自己国家的重新独立，等待走进纽约城，等待完成父亲的遗愿。。。。。。在这些等待中，发生了很多插曲，也等来了意料之外的一份真爱。导演把故事放在机场这个场景下，或许有一定的意义吧。在机场，有形形色色的人，他们从一个地方来到这里，又从这里飞往下一个地方。我们不知道他们来自哪里，要去到哪去，但他们都有一个共同点，就是在等待。也许我可以说他们就是我们，每一个普通人。我们都在等待，等待下一站，等待回家，等待长大，等待爱我的和我爱的人的出现，等待时间。。。。或许等待会让我不耐烦，焦躁不安，主人公给我的感觉就是很向上，很纯粹，他不仅是在等待，更是在行动。一个人只有在专心做事时才会充实和饱满吧。

罗马假日
