like mr. crabiel, i literally work tirelessly in many academic and leadership roles. i sleep no more than six hours a night because of my desire to expertly meet my many commitments. throughout my life, i have worked as long and as hard as i possibly can to effect beneficial changes in both school and society.

during the summer of tenth grade, i took a number theory course at johns hopkins university with students from alaska, california, and bogota, colombia. similarly, during the summer following eleventh grade, i was one of ninety students from new jersey selected to attend the governors school in the sciences at drew university. at drew, i took courses in molecular orbital theory, special relativity, cognitive psychology, and i participated in an astrophysics research project. for my independent research project, i used a telescope to find the angular velocity of pluto. with the angular velocity determined, i used einsteins field equations and keplers laws to place an upper bound on the magnitude of the cosmological constant, which describes the curvature of space and the rate of the universes expansion.

in addition to learning science, i recently lectured physics classes on special relativity at the request of my physics teacher. after lecturing one class for 45 minutes, one student bought many books on both general and special relativity to read during his study hall. inspiring other students to search for knowledge kindles my own quest to understand the world and the people around me.

as president of the national honor society, i tutor students with difficulties in various subject areas. in addition, i am ranked

number one in my class with an sat score of 1580 and satii scores of 750 in math, 760 in writing, and 800 in physics. in school, i take the hardest possible courses including every ap course offered at the high school. i am the leading member of the math team, the academic team, and the model congress team. in the area of leadership, i have recently received the rotary youth leadership award from a local rotary club, have been asked to attend the national youth leadership forum on law and the constitution in washington d.c., and wrote the winning essay on patriotism for south plainfields vfw chapter. currently enrolled in spanish 6,i am a member of both the spanish club and the spanish honor society. in addition, i recently was named a national merit scholar.

Logistics in China is still in the first stage, its technology and theory are lagging behind those developed countries. Both of these two cities get costal harbors, well-developed tourism industry, hold the important status as the education center for colleges and universities with solid system for coexistent aeroamphibious transportation means.

So there’s a strong possibility for Amoy to corporate with Cardiff. They may exchange experience in port operation and tourism industry; in the aspect of higher education and scientific research, they may share some information; in city management, they may learn from each other.

Study in British will make me get the related technologies to serve for the ports and logistics in Amoy and Cardiff. For example, I can make better use of logistics and its organization of Amoy ports by learning from advanced logistics design and logistics appliance of Cardiff ports, so that the working efficiency would be improved either.

Learning management of city logistics will bring me a new vision to the city logistics system of Amoy and Cardiff, especially how light railway influences urban transportation. It will help me a lot how to plan and manage local transportation suppose I work in the urban transportation sector one day.

And study in Cardiff will come to be precious experience for Chinese students, I will try my best to push the communication among the students from Cardiff and Amoy, make further corporation between the colleges and universities in these two cities. I can give some necessary suggestions, do a little favor to the students who want to study in Cardiff after me, and I would love to be a

Experience different style of teaching mode

Some courses in FJU are taught in English. Bilingual teaching can contribute to improving my English. Before applying for FJU, I had a plan to go abroad for further study. Besides, I make friends with Taiwanese and foreigners in FJU. This exchange experience will absolutely help my future application for foreign school.

As for my major, I think I should have an international view. I major in journalism and communication in my original university, which decides I should broaden my horizon and increase my life experience. Just as what I have said above, I make it in Taiwan. I attend the academic seminar in FJU, which called The New Media and Society. This seminar let me learn about New Media deeply. And in it, I see the professors, who come from Hong Kong and Macau,

express their opinions on this issue. I learnt that different situations and conditions between Taiwan and mainland.

I have a chance to bring special characteristics of Xi’an and

Hangzhou to my friends in Taiwan. At the same time, my friends in Taiwan also introduce Taiwan for me.

My hometown is Hangzhou, while my school is in Xi’an. Both cities are the capital of Zhejiang province and Shaanxi province, respectively. I can introduce the features about cities to my friends and share

interesting things in our daily life.

2. Experience in Taiwan

Taste different culture breath and diversity of lives in FJU

This semester I took part in many activities and Academic speeches, for instance, I went in for One day trip to ILAN, Taiwanese Culture Experiencing Field Trip, and so on, which are all hold by International Student Center. Moreover, I join institute of foreign languages’s Aerobics game. In this match, I learn that students in FJU stick

together and work hard to perform well. I’m really appreciating of it and which gives me a good impression of the part of Taiwan.

In Taiwan, it is said that there is a snack shop every three steps and a restaurant every five, which I can’t agree more. These establishments serve all kinds of Chinese food, from the roasted ducks, smoked chickens, lamb hotpot to the salty fried chicken with spices, honey ham and dry-fried eggplant, which stirs up my memories and tastes in my hometown.

I also go to many different places of interest. Just take the sea of Hua Lian as an example, the scenery is fantastic and amazing to me, I like this special blue and the sky over the sea.

In addition, those beautiful places, I will never neglect the friends I met here in Taiwan, I’m not going to flatter Taiwanese but they’re really friend to me.

Experiencing diversity of lives in FJU while, I can also learn and see social features and ways of life in Taiwan, I want to use my camera record everything in Taiwan.

Life in Taiwan will be the most special and precious memories for me !
