  湘少版五年级上册英语教案(一)

  (The first period)

  Teaching aims: 1.Learn the new words: tall, short, long hair, round face, young, old.

  2. Master the following patterns: what does she look like?

  She is... She has...

  Teaching main and difficult points: 1 the adjectives of general description.

  2 describe people's looks.

  Teaching steps:

  Step1. Warming-up

  Games: Robert Dance目的在于活跃气氛,调动学生的积极性,减少学生的紧张情绪。加之五官属于人的长相的范畴,所以与此课人物外貌相关连,这样引入就能自然过渡到本节课的内容。人物前活动用于扫除学生的语言障碍,因此在教学上以激发学生的学习兴趣为主,通过活动让学生感知、操练语言,为下一步活动做好铺垫。

  Rulers: I say touch your eyes/ears/ nose/mouth/shoulder/legs/arm. you should do it .If you are wrong, you have to sit down. The person who does it correctly is the winner.

  after that we begin to study our lesson.

  Step2. Presentation

  T: Do you like Miss Yan?

  Ss: Yes.

  T: Why?

  Ss: Because you are beautiful.

  T: Thank you. Do you like her?(图片展示)

  Ss: Yes.

  T: OK, I know you think she is a beautiful girl, too. Today, we will learn Unit 1 What does she look like? ( 图片展示同时板书。)

  Then teach the new words and new sentences pattern.

  The teacher uses the pictures to lead and teach the new words and the new sentence pattern. And then ask the Ss to describe the classmates.

  先利用图片展示进行新单词句型的引入,让学生熟悉。接着要求其他同学描述三位外貌典型的同学,再小组练习。这样更形象,更贴近生活,学生更容易接受,加强了学生间的合作与交流。再按发形,身高,体重的类别练习以免混淆,同时加深记忆。在教学的过程中,我要求学生描述教室里听课的老师,学生们十分激动,想着能用英语描述自己的老师了,他们特别高兴。此时的气氛很活跃。

  It’s the first day of new term. Lingling and Peter are talking about their new Chinese teacher. Now listen to the tape and then please tell me what does she look like. Which is their new Chinese teacher Picture A or B?

  Step3. Pair work

  At first the teacher gives the Ss an example. Then ask Ss practice like this.

  A: What does he look like?

  B: He has short hair. He is tall. He has a round face.

  这样完整地描述人的外表是为后面能安排、完成任务做铺垫,同时能检测学生的掌握情况,以便老师随时调控。

  Step4. Practice

  Guessing game:

  At first the teacher gives the Ss an example. Then ask Ss to describe anyone in the classroom. Let the others guess.

  这个游戏的安排目的是让学生通过他人的描述,去发现别人的外部特征。培养学生听、说以及辨别能力,同时可活跃课堂气氛。

  Free talk: talk about any person who you like.

  这是一个任务教学,让学生描述自己的家人、朋友及喜爱的明星,增添他人对自己的了解。学生拿出事先准备好的自己最喜爱的电影、足球明星,在小组里轮流进行描述。然后在组与组之间进行资源共享,让学生在讲台上用投影仪进行展示。(通过这一活动,使学生在掌握一定的英语基础知识和基本技能,能与小组成员合作共同完成学习任务,发展语言的综合运用能力,并创造性地使用英语表达自己的思想)。

  Describe and draw

  Ask Ss to describe “What do you look like when you are 20 years old and draw a picture of it.

  设计这个任务目的在于让学生能学有所用,想象设计一下自己20岁风华正茂时的样子,并画出来,让此堂课别开生面,乐趣横生。同时这培养学生的多种能力,让其能动手动口。

  在学生掌握好的前面的知识的基础上再处理学习书上的知识,就化难为简,学生才能得心应手,同时让学生整体回顾本节课的重点内容。

  Motto;Never judge a book by its covers.

  此格言的安排是为了培养学生尊重他人的品德,不以貌取人。

  Step5. Homework

  1. Copy the sentences in grammar focus.

  2. Describe your friend, your parent, your teacher or any other person, and then write it down in your exercise book

  通过以上几步的语言输入练习,让学生在进一步创造性活用所学语言,提高学生的写作能力。

  能力目标 :

  1.学完本课,学会描述人物外貌。

  2.能积极思维,运用所学单词,短语及句型,结合实际生活进行灵活运用。

  让学生学会友好地描述别人的形象。

  掌握本课新单词、句型和怎样描述一个人的外貌。

  掌握运用动词have和be描述人物外貌的方法。

  Step1. Warming-up

  Free talk:

  让学生描述自己的家人、朋友及喜爱的明星,增添他人对自己的了解。学生拿出事先准备好的自己最喜爱的电影、足球明星,在小组里轮流进行描述。

  S1: I like Yao Ming very much. He is very tall. He has a big face...

  S2: Li Na is a good tennis player. She is beautiful. She has a round face...

  Step 2 Let’s Practice.

  Show the pictures of teachers and then ask some students to talk about their teachers’looks.

  S1: My Chinese teacher is Ms Huang.

  S2: What does she look like?

  S1: She’s not very tall. She has big eyes and a round face.

  S2: That’s Ms Huang.

  Step 3 Let’s Read.

  Read the E-mails and then please fill in the chart.

  Please tell me something about Nancy’s maths teacher and Jane’s English teacher.

  Then write an E-mail to your friend and tell them something about your teacher’s looks.

  Step 4 Let’s Write.

  Write about your English teacher. And then talk about it with your partners.

  Step 5 Let’s Have Fun

  Write an E-mail to your pen-pal about your family members’looks.

  Ⅰ.教学准备

  1.教师:录音机、电脑、图片、面具。

  2.学生:利用网络查阅中英文姓名及初次见面时各国或各地风俗、礼仪的材料。

  Ⅱ.教学目标

  1.学会问候他人。

  2.学会做自我介绍,认识新朋友,并正确称呼他们的英文名字。

  3.学习本课的知识点。

  (1)词汇:name,nice,to,meet,too,your,Ms.

  (2)句型:—What's your name?—My name's...

  —Hello!Cindy!I'm Dale.—Nice to meet you!

  Step 1:Greetings and talking

  运用预备单元学习的Good morning!Good afternoon!Hello/Hi!...等问候语和学生打招呼,拉近了与学生之间的距离,也复习了旧知识。

  Step 2:Lead­in

  1.利用一些实物,复习“What's this in English?”这一句型。

  For example:

  T:What's this in English?

  S:It's a book.

  T:What color is it?

  S:It's blue.

  2.运用以上句型过渡到课本1a,写出图中物品的英文名称。

  For example:

  T:Look at the picture.What's this in English?

  S:It's a map.

  T:How many new words can you find?Discuss in groups.

  将学生分为四组,采取小组竞赛制,每组选择一名学生将单词写在黑板上,比一比哪一组写得多。

  3.给学生几分钟的时间认读这些单词。

  Step 3:Presentation

  1.结识新朋友。

  教师首先向学生做一个自我介绍,将名字写在黑板上:My name is...My first nam e is...My last name i s...同时介绍一下名字的意义。然后学生就近结组,进行自我介绍。例如:一个学生叫徐烨,他说:My name is Xu Ye.一个叫王超的学生介绍说:My name is Wang Chao.

  “What's your name?”传句子比赛。学生按行分组,一个同学问,“What's your name?”第二个学生回答,“My name is...”然后再接着问第三个人,“What's your name?” 第三个人回答,“My name is...”再接着问第四个人“What's your name?”……最先完成的一行获胜。

  教师带上面具与学生交流,就把“我是一个新形象”这一信息清 晰地传达给了学生。学生也能轻而易举地接收这一信息,这样做的目的,在于为Nice to meet you!提供一个真实的情境,让学生理解它是用于初次见面的问候语。

  将句型板书在黑板上,让学生练习对话。

  2.通过教学课件展示1b中的英文名字,教学生认读。

  For example:

  T:Loo k at the screen.They are from England.What are their names?Let's know them.

  This boy is Alan.Read after me,“Alan”.

  用同样的方法介绍Ms.Brown,Cindy,Dale,Gina, Jenny等人名,采取领读、拼读、齐读等方式认读这些名字,并且引导学生观察这些名字的写法,以及如何用汉语拼音书写名字。

  这项任务主要是为听力做准备。

  Step 4:Listen and number

  对于听力应该注意对学生听力策略的指导,首先让学生看懂听力任务,并且对于1b这种听录音排序题目应尽可能的先认读一下句子,这样有助于找到答案。操作建议如下 :

  1.播放第一遍录音要求 学生只听。

  2.播放第二遍要求学生听录音排序。

  3.检查 答案。

  4.播放第三遍要求学生模仿录音跟读。

  5.游戏:最佳模仿者。练习1b中的对话。要求如下:

  6.为自己选择一个英文名字,练习以下对话。

  Step 5:Competition(此环节锻炼学生综合运用语言的能力)

  1.让学生在五分钟内尽可能多的用英语询问他人姓名,并做记录,看一看谁问的最多,用上下列句型。.

  —What's your name?—My name's...

  —How do you spell it?—...

  —Hello.My name's...—I'm...Nice to meet you.

  2.将结果写在下面表格中,以备下节课学习物主代词。

  Boys' names Girls' names

  这是一个巩固性的活动,要求学生能运用目标语进行真实的交际。同时,在活动的过程中,学生又进行了拼写能力的锻炼。男女同学进行问候既为下一节课his/her的运用作好了准备,同时也使学生养成良好的运用英语的习惯。在英语学习的初始阶段,一定要鼓励与帮助学生,这将是今后英语学习活动顺利展开的重要保证 。学生活动中,教师应四处走动,向学生提供帮助。

  Step 6:Summary

  根据呈现在黑板或者课件上本节课学习的语言点,让学生自己总结怎样介绍自己以及问候他人。

  知识讲解

  1.What's your name?

  (1)这是一个由what引导的特殊疑问句,是询问别人姓名的常用语,回答时常用“My name is...”或“I'm...”或者直接说出名字。

  (2)your意为“你的,你们的”,是形容词性物主代词,不能单独使用,后面要接名词。在句中作定语,不能作主语。类似的形容词性物主代词还有my(我的),his(他的),her(她的)等。

  2.Nice to meet you!

  意为“见到你很高兴”。这是英美人初次见面时的常用语,以示客气,也可以用于双方很久没有见面,偶然相逢的场合, 用来表达高兴的心情。对方在回答时用“Nice to meet you,too!”其中too意为“也”。在表达“见到你很高兴!”时,也可以用“Glad to meet you!”
