  曲靖师范学院简介

  曲靖师范学院地处我国第三大河珠江的发源地、云南省第二大城市、爨文化的故乡、“全国十佳宜居城市”——曲靖市。学校2007年6月以“良好”成绩通过了教育部本科教学工作水平评估,2010年成为云南省优质生源高校,2012年和2015年连续被中央文明委命名表彰为“全国文明单位”。

  自2000年升本以来,在省委、省政府、市委、市政府的大力支持下,学校为地方经济和社会发展培养各类高级应用人才4万余人,赢得了“千里珠江,源头起航;园丁摇篮,桃李芬芳”的美好赞誉,已发展成为曲靖教育发展的龙头、合格师资培养的重要基地、先进文化建设的重要窗口。

  办学历史文化积淀厚重。学校办学历史最早可追溯至1907年开办的“师范传习所”,1912年设置云南省立第三师范学校,1956年更名为曲靖师范学校,1977年招收昆明师范学院曲靖普通(本科)班,1978年成立曲靖师范专科学校(1993年更名为曲靖师范高等专科学校),1984年建立曲靖教育学院。2000年3月经教育部批准,曲靖师范高等专科学校、曲靖教育学院、曲靖师范学校合并组建曲靖师范学院。一代代曲师人不忘初心,砥砺前行,熔铸形成了“苦乐交融育英才,百年树人铸精魂”的曲师精神。

  人才培养质量不断提高。面向全国26个省(市、区)招生,现有全日制本专科在校生15000余人。积极推进教育教学改革,初步形成了卓越人才、复合人才、拔尖艺体人才、应用型人才培养体系。历届校友中,涌现出了在中国革命和建设中做出贡献的徐文烈将军、《在太行山上》的词作者桂涛声、抗日名将王甲本;“全国三八红旗手”、党的十八大代表胡艳,“云南省教育风云人物”、“云南省百优校长”郭跨存,“全国优秀大学生援教教师”、“云南省教育风云人物”梁春林,“全国模范教师”徐瑞等大批优秀人才。学生在国家级、省级以上学科专业竞赛、科技创新竞赛中的获奖人数逐年上升,获国家级奖项521项,获省级奖项1023项,获奖人数达1544人。学生就业率连续10年处于全省高校前列。大学生“三下乡”社会实践活动连续5年获中宣部、团中央、教育部和省委宣传部、团省委、教育厅表彰。

  办学基本条件不断改善。现有校本部、古城、环东三个校区,校园面积1399亩,校舍面积36.79万平方米,图书馆馆藏文献总量近180万册,电子图书资源量近9万GB;固定资产总值7.06亿元,其中教学科研仪器设备总值1.21亿元。2004年9月建成占地1318亩、充满浓郁现代大学气息的校本部,图书、体育、教育教学设备一应俱全,环境优美,绿化面积占62.4%,获省市“平安校园”、“园林绿化先进单位”称号。

  学科专业特色鲜明。学校设有18个教学单位,4个教辅机构,34个研究机构(含5个校级独立研究机构),建成了一批有特色的专业,形成了多学科发展格局。有8个省级重点学科,其中1个云南省高原学科,并进入2017年硕士授权单位规划建设学校;3个硕士学位授权立项建设学科,2个优势特色重点学科,2个已挂牌二类重点学科。设有全日制本科专业53个,17个高职高专专业,60个成人教育专业。专业涉及经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、管理学、艺术学9大学科门类。建有国家高等学校特色(重点)专业1个、云南省高等学校特色(重点)专业5个,省级精品课程9门,云南省新建本科院校向应用技术型大学转型发展“支持产业升级重点专业群”立项建设项目2个,省级实验教学示范中心3个,国家和省级教学质量工程项目117项,学校学科专业建设取得明显进步。

  师资队伍建设成效明显。现有在职教职员工1020人,其中博士131人(含在读)。有专任教师789人,正高职称教师72人,副高职称教师214人,高级职称教师占到专任教师的36.63%,硕博教师占专任教师60%以上。专任教师中有58位受聘担任上海师大、云大和云师大硕士生导师。教师中有享受国务院特殊津贴专家、全国优秀教师、省突、省贴等省内外知名专家、省中青年学术和技术带头人及后备人才、教学名师共55人,云南省级名师工作室3个,长年聘任校外兼职教授173人,外籍教师13人。初步形成了一支符合本科教学要求、具有较高思想业务素质的教师队伍。

  科研创新能力不断增强。建有国家体育总局研究基地1个、省哲学社会科学重点研究基地1个,省哲学社会科学创新团队2个、高校重点实验室3个、高校科技创新团队1个,省级教学团队5个,省级人才培养模式创新实验示范区2个;主持国家社会科学基金资助项目33项,独立主持和联合承担国家自然科学基金项目17项,国家艺术基金项4项,共承担各类科研项目1266项,国家艺术基金项目居全省高校前列,出版专著、编著、艺术作品集和主编教材240部,在SCI、EI、ISTP发表论文7760余篇;获得省、部级各类优秀成果奖79项,省部级以上各类教育教学奖111项,曲靖市社会科学优秀成果奖162项,曲靖市文学艺术创作政府奖24项,产生了一批高水平研究成果。

  服务经济社会发展能力不断增强。近五年,完成了“曲靖市主导产业培育研究”、“曲靖市产业转型升级研究”等课题10余项,承担了“曲靖市经济发展蓝皮书”等专项课题,为政府和相关部门提供了重要的决策参考。以校友桂涛声为原型创作的纪念抗战胜利70周年大型歌剧《涛声依旧》、以及为纪念红军长征胜利80周年排演的歌剧《年轻的脚步》,成功公演并获得好评,为艺术教学改革和协同创新创造了典型经验。组建了4个独立研究机构、1个校政联合独立研究机构——曲靖市旅游发展研究院。

  国际化办学逐步深入。成立了“云南省出国留学预备学院曲靖分院”,成为云南省人民政府第三批华文教育基地,与泰国清迈大学、美国宾州曼斯菲尔德大学、爱尔兰沃特福德理工学院、新西兰商学院和林肯大学等合作开展“2+2”、“3+1”、“3+1+1”等多种形式的联合人才培养项目;与英、美、加、澳、新、法、爱尔兰等12个国家和地区的29个高校和教育机构建立了正式交流合作关系,共聘请英、美、加、泰等外教100余人次,招收长短期留学生400多人,在泰国创建汉语国际教育培训推广中心1个,加入中教国际交流协会并启动了1+2+1中美人才培养项目,国际化办学水平逐年提高。

  “十三五”期间,学校将始终坚持创新发展、内涵发展、转型发展、特色发展,以立德树人为根本,实施高素质创新人才培养、高原学科建设、服务能力提升、领军人才引培、开放融合、基础设施服务能力提升、文化精品建设七项工程,不断提高人才培养、科学研究、社会服务和文化传承创新水平,不断增强学校的综合实力和核心竞争力,实现办学模式全面转型,建成综合性强、人文社会科学优势显著、服务区域经济社会发展的理工科贡献突出、教师教育独具特色的应用型大学,并为最终建成特色鲜明的区域性高水平大学奠定良好基础。

  Qujing Normal University

  Qujing Normal University is located in Qujing City, the birthplace of Zhujiang - the third longest river in China, thesecond largest city in Yunnan, hometown of Cuan culture, “ Top Ten LivableCities in China” -- Qujing City. In June 2007, Qujing Normal Universityreceived a B rating in the undergraduate education accreditation by thenational Ministry of Education, and since 2010, it has been upgraded to one ofthe key universities enrolling high-quality students in Yunnan province. In2012 and 2015, the school was awarded the prize of A National Civilized Unit bythe Central Committee of Civilization Construction in China.

  Since the upgrade to a degree -awardinginstitution in 2000, the school has trained more than 40,000 advanced appliedtalents for local economy and social development under the support ofprovincial party committee, the provincial government, municipal partycommittee and municipal government. The school has won the notable reputationof commencing from the source of the long Pearl River and being the cradlefor thousands of teachers and instructors. Now, it has become a leadingfigure in the educational development cause, an important base for cultivatingqualified teachers and a bright window for the building of advanced culture inQujing city.

  The University has a long history andprofound cultural heritage. School history can betraced back to 1907 when the first 'Teacher Training Institute' wasset up and in 1912, it turned into Yunnan Provincial Third Normal School. In1956, it was renamed to Qujing Normal School and in 1977, Kunming NormalCollege Qujing Ordinary (undergraduate) classes started recruitment. In 1978,Qujing Junior Teachers College was established. (The name changed to QujingSenior Teachers College in 1993), and then Qujing College of Educationestablished in 1984.As approved by the Ministry of Education in March 2000,Qujing Senior Teachers College, Qujing College of Education and Qujing NormalSchool were merged to form Qujing Normal University. Generations of teachersand students keep being faithful to their heart, and keep moving forward nomatter what they confront, thus casting the spirit of teachers and students in QujingNormal University whereby 'Cultivating talents with joys and hardships,Fostering a noble soul through persistent efforts' .

  Quality of talent cultivation is improved continually.Enrolling students from 26 provinces(cities, districts) throughout China and now we have more than 15,000 full-timestudents on campus. By actively promoting the teaching reform, we havebasically established the cultivation system of excellent talents, complextalents, top-ranking arts and sports talents and applied talents. Among itslarge number of well-known alumni, to name only a few, were General Xu Wenlie,who contributed a great deal to the national revolution and construction cause,Gui Taosheng, author of the Ci poem titled The Taihang Mountain and WangJiaben, a renowned military general in the Anti-Japanese War; In recent years,Hu Yan has won the title of “A National Red-Banner Pacesetter” and was chosenas one of the deputies in Yunnan province for the 18th CPC Party Congress. Mr.Guo Kuacun has won the titles of “ Man of the Hour for Education in Yunnan” and“ Top Hundred Well-known Principals in Yunnan”. Mr. Liang Chunling has won thetitles of “ National Outstanding College Students Aiding Education” and “ Manof the Hour for Education in Yunnan”. Xu Rui, awarded as “ National Modelteachers”. The number of students who have won prizes in academic competitions,scientific innovation competitions at the national and provincial level andabove has been increased year by year. Up to now, 1, 544 students of our schoolhave won 521 national prizes, 1, 023 provincial prizes. And the studentsemployment rate have been ranking among the top of all universities in YunnanProvince for a decade. Besides, the “ Three Sends to the Countryside” programsorganized by us to bring cultural scientific medical services to the ruralareas have won recognition for a consecutive 5 year period by PropagandaDepartment of the Central Committee of the CPC, The central Party andgovernment authorities, Ministry of Education and Provincial PartyCommittee Propaganda Department,Provincial Party Committee and Education Department.

  Basic conditions for school running havebeen improved continuously. Now we have threecampuses:the Main Campus, Gucheng Campus and Huandong Campus. It covers a totalarea of 1399 mu (about 200 acres), with a schoolhouse floor space of 36.79thousand sq.m.;a library stocked with over 1.8 million volumes of books; Thereare nearly 90,000 GB of E-book resources. The fixed assets total to RMB 706million Yuan, including the total value of teaching and scientific research-relatedequipment and facilities amounting to RMB 121 million Yuan. The Main Campus,which was built in Sept. 2004 and totals an area of 1318 mu (217 acres),contains all the elements of a modern university and enjoys a beautifulenvironment with a green space accounting for 62.4% of the total area. Thus, wehave won the titles of “ Safe Campus ” and “Advanced Unit inAfforestation”.

  Discipline structure with distinctivecharacteristics has been well established.Ouruniversity now has set up 18 teaching units, 4 teaching-supporting institutionsand 34 research institutes (including 5 exclusive school-level research institutes).We now provide a good number ofcharacteristicmajorsand have formed a multi-disciplinarydevelopment pattern. We offer 8 provincial-level key disciplines, one of which is plateaudiscipline of Yunnan Province, and are selected as the university to be builtin 2017 for master degree programs; 3 construction disciplines for masterdegree programs, 2 privileged key disciplines of features and 2 authorizedTitle II key disciplines. Besides, the university also offers 53 bachelor’sdegree programs, 17 specialties of vocational and professional training, and 60specialties for adult education. The bachelor’sdegree programs cover 9 major disciplines including economics, law, pedagogy,literature, history, natural science, engineering and management, and arts. Theuniversity provides 1 characteristic (key) major for national institutions ofhigher learning, 5 characteristic (key) majors for universities in YunnanProvince, 9 provincial excellent courses, 2 programs under construction ofestablishing projects to “support key speciality groupsin industrial upgrade” for new universities in Yunnan Province transforming toapplication-oriented universities, 3 provincial experimental teachingdemonstration center, and 117 national and provincial teaching qualityprojects. In general, we have achieved remarkable progress in discipline and specialties.

  Notable effects of the building ofteaching staff have been achieved. Theuniversity now has a faculty and staff team of 1,020 members in service, amongwhom, there are 131 doctoral students (including those who are still pursuingtheir Ph D degrees). Among all the faculty and staff, there are 789 full-timeteachers, 72 teachers with senior titles, and 214 teachers with sub-seniortitles. This means that teachers with senior titles account for 36.63% of thefull-time teachers, master supervisors and doctoral advisors account for over60% full-time teachers.Among all the full-time teachers, there are 58 teacherswho have accepted the appointment to be master supervisors in Shanghai NormalUniversity, Yunnan University and Yunnan Normal University. There are 55teachers who enjoy special expert allowance granted by the State Council,titled as national outstanding teachers, rated as provincial distinguishedexperts or granted special expert allowance by the provincial government, ortitled as provincial middle and young aged academic and technical leaders andbackup talents, and distinguished teachers. In addition, the university has 3workshops for distinguished teachers of Yunnan Province, and it has invited 173visiting and part-time professors and 13 foreign experts to work on campusannually. The faculty and staff team, with a high political ideology andprofessional teaching competence, can satisfactorily meet the demands ofundergraduate education.

  Research and innovation capacity has beenenhanced increasingly.We now have established 1research base on the leadership of the state general administration of sports,1 key provincial philosophy and social science research base, 2 provincialphilosophy and social science innovation teams, 3 key laboratories foruniversities,1 science and technology innovation team, 5 provincial teachingteams, 2 provincial experimental demonstration areas for innovation of talentcultivation mode; and have taken on 33 national social science fund projects,solely or jointly conducted 17 national natural science fund projects, 4national arts fund projects, and 1,266 scientific research projects indifferent fields, among which, the national arts fund projects rank the top ofall the universities in Yunnan Province. Moreover, the faculty and staffmembers have published 240 monographs, compilation works, collections of finearts, and textbooks and over 7760 dissertations in SCI, EI and ISTP as well.With regard to the prizes and awards, we have won 79 prize for our outstandingachievements at provincial or ministerial level, 111 prizes for teaching ofvarious realms at provincial or national level and above, 162 awards foroutstanding achievements in social science of Qujing, 24 government awards forliterary and artistic creation along with a large number of high-qualityresearch achievements.

  The capability of serving social andeconomic development has been strengthened continuously.Inthe last five years, we have completed more than 10 subjects such as “researchon fostering of leading industries in Qujing” and “study of industrytransformation and upgrading” and undertaken specific subjects, for example,“blue book on economic development of Qujing”, which are all of vital value forreference for decision-making of the government and related departments. Thegreat opera Sound Of Billows created by our alumni Gui Taosheng forcommemorating the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, andthe opera Footsteps of the Young rehearsedfor commemorating the 80th anniversary of victory of the Red Army’s long marchwere successfully performed in public and gain wide praise, which sets typicalexperience for art teaching reform and collaborative innovation. Meanwhile, wehave set up 4 independent research institute and 1 school-government jointindependent research institute, namely Qujing Tourism Development ResearchInstitute.

  Internationalization ofschool-running has been strengthened gradually.We have founded Qujing Branch of the Preparatory School forStudy Overseas in Yunnan, become one of the third batch of Chinese educationbase under the leadership of People's Government of Yunnan Province, andcommenced such joint talent cultivation programs as “2+2”, “3+1”, “3+1+1”etc. with Chiang Mai University in Thailand, Mansfield University ofPennsylvania in the USA and New Zealand College of Business and LincolnUniversity. We have established stable and friendly relations with 29 foreignuniversities and educational organizations including those from the UK, theUSA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Ireland etc. In addition, we havehired more than 100 foreign teachers from the UK, the USA, Canada and Thailand,recruited over 400long-term and short-term overseas students, also established1 international Chinese language education promotion center, become a member ofthe International Communication Association on Education of Chinese Languageand initiated 1+2+1 Sino-America talent cultivation programs. On the whole, theinternationalization of school-running has been strengthened year by year.

  During the 13th Five-year plan, our schoolhas been adhering to innovative, connotative, transformation and characteristicdevelopment and always taking high moral values establishment and peoplecultivation as the fundamental task of education. We have carried out sevenprograms including cultivation of high-quality innovative talents, plateaudiscipline construction, improvement of service capability, introduction andtraining of leading talents, opening and integration, enhancement ofinfrastructural service capability, creation of top-quality cultural productsto constantly improve talent cultivation, scientific research, social serviceand cultural inheritance and innovation level, and enhance comprehensivestrength and core competitiveness of the school, and realize overalltransformation of school-running pattern as well. Only in this way, can wesucceed in realizing our goal of becoming an application-oriented university thatcan facilitate regional economic and social development with highcomprehensiveness, remarkable advantages in humanistic and social science andstriking features of teachers' education and finally lay a solid foundation forbuilding a local high-level university with striking features.
