摘 要： 随着全球化影响力的日益扩大，中国社会对于具有较高英语语言运用能力和交际能力的英语高级人才的需求量越来越大。本文将从开设英语演讲课程的必要性以及课程的授课方法进行阐释，通过课后的问卷调查可以看出此课程对于学生的语言运用能力以及学生的自信心都有明显的正面效果，因此可以考虑将此课程发展为提高学生语言运用能力和综合素质的基础型课程。

关键词： 英语演讲；语言能力；综合素质英语演讲课前。

随着全球化进程的逐步深化，世界各国的交流越来越频繁，中国社会对于具有较高英语语言运用能力的高级英语人才的需求量也日益增加。因此在近年来的英语教学当中，将语言的运用能力提到了越来越高的位置。毫无疑问，英语四六级考试以及英语专业四级和八极考试对于学生的语言能力有了一定的考察，也在一定程度上激发了学生的学习热情。但是在教学当中，我们是否能以考试的结果作为考核学生语言运用能力的标准呢？答案显然是否定的。因为教学当中，我们不难发现考试能力和学生开口说英语，自由畅快的表达自我的能力是不对等的，因此旨在提升学生语言能力，创造良好语言环境的英语演讲课程在教学中显得不可或缺。

一、课程的必要性

为了清楚的认识当代大学生英语语言的运用能力，笔者在授课前对110名上课学生和10名英语教师进行了问卷调查。结果显示77%的学生对于自己的口头表达能力和书面写作能力是不满意的；65%的学生认为自己的口语水平在近三年没有突破，停滞不前。多数教师认为学生在英语表达上的问题主要表现为以下几点：内容空洞，无话可说，逻辑混乱，词不达意，或者有话说却不知从何说起。基于这些问题，不难看出英语演讲课程的开设是十分必要的。

首先，英语专业本科的教育总目标是培养全面的英语专业人才，培养较高的英语言语能力并赋予一定的语言和文学方面的理论知识。后者是围绕前者展开的，因此与后者相比较，前者是基础，也是根本。而提高学生的语言能力，实践性课程的作用是不可小觑的，因此在英语专业四年的学习当中，实践性课程始终是主要课程。而英语演讲课程正是一门以学生实践为主，老师理论讲解为辅的实践性课程。

其次，英语演讲课程在提升学生语言运用能力方面可以起到实质性的作用。英语语言能力简单的说，即为学生实际运用英语语言文字的能力。语言能力主要包括两大方面：口头言语和书面言语。在英语的四项基本能力听说读写中，各个部分是相互依赖，相互促进的。英语演讲课程有着自身独特的特点，对于学生的语言综合能力要求比较高。在准备演讲稿的过程当中，学生必须考虑如何使用自己学过的语言知识来表达自己的思想。例如为了在大庭广众之下，妙

在制订好的相应应的学习计划后，就需要合理地安排学习时间。虽然有工作繁忙、孩子还小等因素，她还是确保了参加面授学习的时间。为了提高学习效率，每次上课前，她都认真预习相关的内容，做好充分的课前准备，带着疑问和求知的心情来听辅导课。在听课中，她对重点与难点做好相应的笔记，随着教师的思路积极思考。当遇到听不懂的部分，她利用课后的时间，通过电话答疑和发电子邮件的方式，向老师和其他同志请教。老师布置的平时作业她能独立完成，因为只有通过独立完成作业，才能帮助她检查对所学内容的理解和掌握程度，及时发现需要温习和欠缺的部分，同时还能使目前所学的知识和以前学过的内容间建立联系，作业完成后她还通过实践达到巩固、复习的目的。

三、克服一切困难，将所学知识应用用到工作中，取得好成绩

在一年的学习生活中，她遇到了很多困难，例如:工作繁重，每周只能休息一天，家里孩子还小需要照顾，丈夫工作也很忙等等，上班时间紧，怎样才能确保预习、复习和完成作业的时间呢?她除了利用休息的时间，还推迟了晚上休息的时间。快到考试的时候，白天无法看书、学习，晚上常常是复习到半夜以后才休息。这一年，不管是烈日炎炎或是大雪纷纷，她从来不缺课，因为学习贵在坚持，坚持才有收获。

她认为只有不断挑战自己一、超越自己，才能跟上时代的步伐，成为适应二十一世纪的创新人才。

吕同泽，男，九岁，xxx实验小学三年级四班的一名学生，担任班长、学校大队委委员、语文课代表、升旗手。
