I believe in our future

Honorable Judges, fellow students:

Good afternoon!

Recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. The college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at

extraordinary places. But will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country?

The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The college students I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.

The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.

As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. I believe in all my fellow classmates. Though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. We are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. I believe

in our future.

Change The Ingredients Of Your Life

This is a glass of water, tasteless, right? However if you add sugar, it will taste sweet, but if you add vinegar, it will become bitter. The same is true with our life____ the flavor is created by our choices.

If kindness is added to a strange you will have a friend; but if hostility is added, you will have an enemy. If love is added to a pile of red bricks you will have a home, but if hatred is add to those bricks , you will have an concentration camp.

So my dear friends, never complain that life is boring and the world is disappointing. If don’t like the taste of your life, change the ingredients. Three year ago, I weighed more than 100 hundred kilograms which caused

significant embarrassment and frustration in my life. Like always failing my P.E examinations, like always being laughed at by girls, like being terrified to speak in public. It was my grandmother’s encouragement that revived from my passive attitude to become confident in myself. She said “ My dear, if you can’t change you figure, why not treat it as your own style. So I began to cautiously employ the new way of thinking. By choosing to change my outlook on life, I developed the confidence to make a difference and finally I found a totally new world.

So my dear friend, if faith, hope, love, endurance are added to your life, you will find the confidence to conquer your limitation and embrace new challenges. And hopefully with my speech included, you will have a fantastic speech contest.

The East and the West, Let’s enjoy the combination of the two cultures? Kipling said:“East is east, and west is west, and never the twain shall meet!” But now, a century later, they have met.

They have met in business. They have met in education. They have met in the arts. Some people will argue that these meetings will leave us with a choice between east and west, but I believe that the best future lies in the creative combination of both worlds. We can make western ideas, customs and technology our own, and adapt them to our own use. We can enjoy the best of both worlds, because our tradition is, above all, one of selecting the best and making it our own.

I love Beijing and Hennan opera because it always reminds me of who I am. But I am also a fan of pop music, especially English songs. So I have combined eastern melody with western language. It is called western henna opera.

When two cultures meet, there may be things in one culture, which do not fit into the tradition of the other. When this happens, we need to learn to understand and respect the customs of another culture. Then there are certain things some people may not like. To this, I will say, if you do not like it, please try to tolerate it. To learn to tolerate what you personally don’t like is a great virtue at a time when different cultures mix and merge. Before us, there are two rivers, eastern and western cultures. At present, they may run in different courses. But eventually, they will converge into the vast sea of human culture.

Right now, I can see peoples of eastern and western cultures, standing side by side, singing the Olympic theme song: we are hand in hand, heart to heart, together we will shape a beautiful tomorrow! Thank you!

Farewell, Indifference

Who was the most well-known figure in China last month? It’s Ma JiaJue—the college student who murdered 4 of his roommates. Many people attributed his crime to his poverty and deficient education. In my opinion, his crime also has much to do with his classmates’ indifference.

Indifference is a terrible disease in today’s colleges and the whole society. It’s not rare that two students who have studied together for 4 years have never spoken to each other. It’s not rare that a student who has been absent from class for several days is not noticed at all. It’s also not rare that a student who has severe psychological problems is not cared about at all.

Some people may say ‘What the students with psychological problems like Ma JiaJue need is not care but psychotherapy.” However, when people are ill, what they need most is not only medical treatment, but also care from people around them. Every smile and every caring word will bring sunshine to their life.

Good morning, everyone!

(第一页ppt)I’m honored to be here to make a presentation about translation, together with my partners: 杨英坤 and 袁银梅.

(第二页ppt)Firstly, let’s look at a dialogue between a foreigner and a Chinese man on the screen. The foreigner tells the Chinese man his wife is very beautiful! But the Chinese man answers .:where ,where This is a classic joke because of inproper translation .In China, people who say, "where ,where" actually want to express the meaning of modesty. So the most correct approach is that “where where” should be translated into “thank you very much”. Certainly we are not likely to make such mistakes any more. But it does show us how important it is to acquire some basic skills about translation. (第三页)Now, it comes to the elementary question: what is translation? (第四页) Speaking of translation, I have to mention a person, the person in the photo was yan fu .Yan fu , a famous interpreter in late Qing Dynasty, made outstanding contribution for the Chinese translation work and then he pointed out the three principles of translation, namely, faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance

It is now pretty generally agreed, that translating the writings of the ancients is, if not the sole, at least the plainest, the shortest, and the surest means of becoming well acquainted with them and their language. It is also agreed, that a translation ought exactly to express the original; that it should neither be too free nor to servile; that it should neither deviate into long circumlocutions, which weaken the ideas, nor adhere to strictly to the letter, which debases the sentiment.

After a brief introduction, let’s get back to our text book and focus on some details. Today, we’re going to learn The following 8 units

: I will introduce the first one and leave the rest to my partners.

The first unit is about Word Translation Method,it includes 3 parts :Choice of Word extension of word Conversion of word.

(第七页)firstly we can discuss Choice of Word

The first point : According to the word category we can choose and determine the meaning

Some words have different meanings in different parts, such as: back is adverbs means "come back", does a verb means "support", does the adjective means "outdated" (such as a back issue, outdated periodicals),does the noun does "on the back, back." Choosing the meaning, therefore, we must identifies the word category

let`s see the following 2 examples, the first sentence: In general, the tests work most effectively when the qualities to be measured can be most precisely defined . this sentence means一般来说,当所要测定的特征能够精确界定时,测试效果最佳

From the sentence composition analysis we can conclude that work is

the predicate verb and tests is the subject So work should be translated into “有效的,起作用的

The 2 sentence :

In this sentence the definite article modifies work ,so work is

noun Considering piece together matches work, and "work" can't be together, we can define "work" as 工作成果

The second point :Determine the word meaning based on the collocation

English and Chinese languages have their respective collocation relations . The same word for different idioms, expresses different ideas. So ,In English Chinese translation, we should deal with English idioms or collocation by Chinese collocation .,and then determine the correct translation for example this word hot .it has various meaning . But in particular collocation the word meaning is very clear【英文演讲稿】

Extension of word

We directly analyze the following two examples

the first example :elegant systems should be translated into 完美的体系,not 优雅的体系,this point belongs to “replace the word meaning” In a sentence Some words from dictionary meaning can make the translation obscure,

ambiguous, or even misleading .Therefore we need logic context relationships to determine the word meaning

The second example:in this sentence offend means 排污超标 this point belongs to Specify the word meaning

according to Chinese habit, The original meaning of the general and abstract words, express more clear and specific

(第十一页)finally we analyze conversation of word。 the first point :Nouns or prepositions are translated into verb

There are 2 examples:the first:

In this sentence application is noun ,but it should be translated into verb ,means“用来”

The second :

The second point:adjective and verb are translated into nouns

There are also 2 examples:The first :

president obama: good afternoon。 i want to start by thanking president hu and the chinese people for the warmth and hospitality that they have shown myself and our delegation since we arrived。 we had a wonderful day in shanghai yesterday, a wonderful discussion with china’s young men and women, and i’m looking forward to the conversations we’ll have and the sights that we’ll see here in beijing over the next two days。

we meet here at a time when the relationship between the united states and china has never been more important to our collective future。 the major challenges of the 21st century, from climate change to nuclear proliferation to economic recovery, are challenges that touch both our nations, and challenges that neither of our nations can solve by acting alone。

that’s why the united states weles china’s efforts in playing a greater role on the world stage -- a role in which a growing economy is joined by growing responsibilities。 and that’s why president hu and i talked about continuing to build a positive, cooperative, and prehensive relationship between our nations。 as president hu indicated, we discussed what’s required to sustain this economic recovery so that economic growth is followed by the creation of new jobs and lasting prosperity。 so far china’s partnership has proved critical in our effort to pull ourselves out of the worst recession in generations。

going forward, we agreed to advance the pledge made at the g20 summit in pittsburgh and pursue a strategy of more balanced economic growth -- a strategy where america saves more, spends less, reduces our long-term debt, and where china makes adjustments across a broad range of policies to rebalance its economy and spur domestic demand。 this will lead to increased u。s。 exports and jobs, on the one hand, and higher living standards in china on the other。

as president hu indicated, we also agreed that maintaining open market and free flows of merce in both our nations will contribute to our shared prosperity。 and i was pleased to note the chinese mitment, made in past statements, to move toward a more market-oriented exchange rate over time。 i emphasized in our discussions, and have others in the region, that doing so based on economic fundamentals would make an essential contribution to the global rebalancing effort。

president hu and i also made progress on the issue of climate change。 as the two largest consumers and producers of energy, there can be no solution to this challenge without the efforts of both china and the united states。 that’s why we’ve agreed to a series of important new initiatives in this area。 as president hu indicated, we are creating a joint clean energy research center, and have achieved agreements on energy efficiency, renewable energy, cleaner uses of coal, electric vehicles, and shale gas。

we also agreed to work toward a successful oute in copenhagen。 our aim there, in support of what prime minister rasmussen of denmark is trying to achieve, is not a partial accord or a political declaration, but rather an accord that covers all of the issues in the negotiations, and one that has immediate operational effect。 this kind of prehensive agreement would be an important step forward in the effort to rally the world around a solution to our climate challenge。 and we agreed that each of us would take significant mitigation actions and stand behind these mitments。

on the issue of nonproliferation, president hu and i discussed our shared mitment to stop the spread of nuclear weapons, and i told him how appreciative i am of china’s support for the global nonproliferation regime as well as the verifiable elimination of north korea’s nuclear weapons program。

we agreed on the importance of resuming the six-party talks as soon as possible。 as i said in tokyo, north korea has a choice: it can continue down the path of

confrontation and provocation that has led to less security, less prosperity, and more isolation from the global munity, or it can choose to bee a full member of the international munity, which will give a better life to its people by living up to international obligations and foregoing nuclear weapons。

in the same way, we agreed that the islamic republic of iran must provide assurances to the international munity that its nuclear program is peaceful and transparent。 on this point, our two nations and the rest of our p5-plus-1 partners are unified。 iran has an opportunity to present and demonstrate its peaceful intentions, but if it fails to take this opportunity there will be consequences。

president hu and i also discussed our mutual interest in security and stability of afghanistan and pakistan。 and neither country can or should be used as a base for terrorism, and we agreed to cooperate more on meeting this goal, including bringing about more stable, peaceful relations in all of south asia。

finally, as i did yesterday in shanghai, i spoke to president hu about america’s bedrock beliefs that all men and women possess certain fundamental human rights。 we do not believe these principles are unique to america, but rather they are universal rights and that they should be available to all peoples, to all ethnic and religious minorities。 and our two countries agreed to continue to move this discussion forward in a human rights dialogue that is scheduled for early next year。

as president hu indicated, the united states respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of china。 and once again, we have reaffirmed our strong mitment to a one-china policy。

we did note that while we recognize that tibet is part of the people’s republic of china, the united states supports the early resumption of dialogue between the chinese government and representatives of the dalai lama to resolve any concerns and differences that the two sides may have。 we also applauded the steps that the people’s republic of china and taiwan have already taken to relax tensions and build ties across the taiwan strait。

our own policy, based on the three u。s。-china muniqués and the taiwan relations act, supports the further development of these ties -- ties that are in the interest of both sides, as well as the broader region and the united states。

these are just some of the issues that president hu and i discussed。 but we also know that the relationship between our two nations goes far beyond any single issue。 in this young century, the jobs we do, the prosperity we build, the environment we protect, the security that we seek, all these things are shared。

given that interconnection, i do not believe that one country’s success must e at the expense of another。 that’s why the united states weles china as a strong, prosperous and successful member of the munity of nations。

our relationship going forward will not be without disagreement or difficulty。 but because of our cooperation, both the united states and china are more prosperous and secure。 we’ve seen what’s possible when we build upon our mutual interests and engage on the basis of equality and mutual respect。 and i very much look forward to deepening that engagement and understanding during this trip and in the months and years to e。

president obama: good afternoon。 it is a great honor for me to be here in shanghai, and to have this opportunity to speak with all of you。 i'd like to thank fudan university's president yang for his hospitality and his gracious wele。 i'd also like to thank our outstanding ambassador, jon huntsman, who exemplifies the deep ties and respect between our nations。 i don't know what he said, but i hope it was good。 (laughter。)

what i'd like to do is to make some opening ments, and then what i'm really looking forward to doing is taking questions, not only from students who are in the audience, but also we've received questions online, which will be asked by some of the students who are here in the audience, as well as by ambassador huntsman。 and i am very sorry that my chinese is not as good as your english, but i am looking forward to this chance to have a dialogue。

this is my first time traveling to china, and i'm excited to see this majestic country。 here, in shanghai, we see the growth that has caught the attention of the world -- the soaring skyscrapers, the bustling streets and entrepreneurial activity。 and just as i'm impressed by these signs of china's journey to the 21st century, i'm eager to see those ancient places that speak to us from china's distant past。 tomorrow and the next day i hope to have a chance when i'm in beijing to see the majesty of the forbidden city and the wonder of the great wall。 truly, this is a nation that enpasses both a rich history and a belief in the promise of the future。

the same can be said of the relationship between our two countries。 shanghai, of course, is a city that has great meaning in the history of the relationship between the united states and china。 it was here, 37 years ago, that the shanghai munique opened the door to a new chapter of engagement between our governments and among our people。 however, america's ties to this city -- and to this country -- stretch back further, to the earliest days of america's independence。

in 1784, our founding father, george washington, missioned the empress of china, a ship that set sail for these shores so that it could pursue trade with the qing dynasty。 washington wanted to see the ship carry the flag around the globe, and to forge new ties with nations like china。 this is a mon american impulse -- the desire to reach for new horizons, and to forge new partnerships that are mutually beneficial。

over the two centuries that have followed, the currents of history have steered the relationship between our countries in many directions。 and even in the midst of tumultuous winds, our people had opportunities to forge deep and even dramatic ties。 for instance, americans will never forget the hospitality shown to our pilots who were shot down over your soil during world war ii, and cared for by chinese civilians who risked all that they had by doing so。 and chinese veterans of that war still warmly greet those american veterans who return to the sites where they fought to help liberate china from occupation。

a different kind of connection was made nearly 40 years ago when the frost between our countries began to thaw through the simple game of table tennis。 the very unlikely nature of this engagement contributed to its success -- because for all our differences, both our mon humanity and our shared curiosity were revealed。 as one american player described his visit to china -- "[the]people are just like us…the country is very similar to america, but still very different。"

of course this small opening was followed by the achievement of the shanghai munique, and the eventual establishment of formal relations between the united states and china in 1979。 and in three decades, just look at how far we have e。

in 1979, trade between the united states and china stood at roughly $5 billion -- today it tops over $400 billion each year。 the merce affects our people's lives in so many ways。 america imports from china many of the puter parts we use, the clothes we wear; and we export to china machinery that helps power your industry。 this trade could create even more jobs on both sides of the pacific, while allowing our people to enjoy a better quality of life。 and as demand bees more balanced, it can lead to even broader prosperity。

in 1979, the political cooperation between the united states and china was rooted largely in our shared rivalry with the soviet union。 today, we have a positive, constructive and prehensive relationship that opens the door to partnership on the key global issues of our time -- economic recovery and the development of clean energy; stopping the spread of nuclear weapons and the scourge of climate change; the promotion of peace and security in asia and around the globe。 all of these issues will be on the agenda tomorrow when imeet with president hu。

and in 1979, the connections among our people were limited。 today, we see the curiosity of those ping-pong players manifested in the ties that are being forged across many sectors。 the second highest number of foreign students in the united states e from china, and we've seen a 50 percent increase in the study of chinese among our own students。 there are nearly 200 "friendship cities" drawing our munities together。 american and chinese scientists cooperate on new research and discovery。 and of course, yao ming is just one signal of our shared love of basketball -- i'm only sorry that i won't be able to see a shanghai sharks game while i'm visiting。

it is no coincidence that the relationship between our countries has acpanied a period of positive change。 china has lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty -- an acplishment unparalleled in human history -- while playing a larger role in global events。 and the united states has seen our economy grow along with the standard of living enjoyed by our people, while bringing the cold war to a successful conclusion。

there is a chinese proverb: "consider the past, and you shall know the future。" surely, we have known setbacks and challenges over the last 30 years。 our relationship has not been without disagreement and difficulty。 but the notion that we must be adversaries is not predestined -- not when we consider the past。 indeed, because of our cooperation, both the united states and china are more

prosperous and more secure。 we have seen what is possible when we build upon

our mutual interests, and engage on the basis of mutual respect。

and yet the success of that engagement depends upon understanding -- on sustaining an open dialogue, and learning about one another and from one another。 for just as that american table tennis player pointed out -- we share much in mon as human beings, but our countries are different in certain ways。

i believe that each country must chart its own course。 china is an ancient nation, with a deeply rooted culture。 the united states, by parison, is a young nation, whose culture is determined by the many different immigrants who have e to our shores, and by the founding documents that guide our democracy。

those documents put forward a simple vision of human affairs, and they enshrine several core principles -- that all men and women are created equal, and possess certain fundamental rights; that government should reflect the will of the people and respond to their wishes; that merce should be open, information

freely accessible; and that laws, and not simply men, should guarantee the administration of justice。

of course, the story of our nation is not without its difficult chapters。 in many ways -- over many years -- we have struggled to advance the promise of these principles to all of our people, and to forge a more perfect union。 we fought a very painful civil war, and freed a portion of our population from slavery。 it took time for women to be extended the right to vote, workers to win the right to organize, and for immigrants from different corners of the globe to be fully embraced。 even after they were freed, african americans persevered through conditions that were separate and not equal, before winning full and equal rights。

none of this was easy。 but we made progress because of our belief in those core principles, which have served as our pass through the darkest of storms。 that is why lincoln could stand up in the midst of civil war and declare it a struggle to see whether any nation, conceived in liberty, and "dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal" could long endure。 that is why dr。 martin luther king could stand on the steps of the lincoln memorial and ask that our nation live out the true meaning of its creed。 that's why immigrants from china to kenya could find a home on our shores; why opportunity is available to

all who would work for it; and why someone like me, who less than 50 years ago would have had trouble voting in some parts of america, is now able to serve as its president。

and that is why america will always speak out for these core principles around the world。 we do not seek to impose any system of government on any other nation, but we also don't believe that the principles that we stand for are unique to our nation。 these freedoms of expression_r_r_r and worship -- of access to information and political participation -- we believe are universal rights。 they should be available to all people, including ethnic and religious minorities -- whether they are in the united states, china, or any nation。 indeed, it is that respect for universal rights that guides america's openness to other countries; our respect for different cultures; our mitment to international law; and our faith in the future。

these are all things that you should know about america。 i also know that we have much to learn about china。 looking around at this magnificent city -- and looking around this room -- i do believe that our nations hold something important in mon, and that is a belief in the future。 neither the united states nor china is content to rest on our achievements。 for while china is an ancient nation, you are also clearly looking ahead with confidence, ambition, and a mitment to see that tomorrow's generation can do better than today's。

in addition to your growing economy, we admire china's extraordinary mitment to science and research -- a mitment borne out in everything from the infrastructure you build to the technology you use。 china is now the world's largest inter user -- which is why we were so pleased to include the inter as a part of today's event。 this country now has the world's largest mobile phone work, and it is investing in the new forms of energy that can both sustain growth and bat climate change -- and i'm looking forward to deepening the partnership between the united states and china in this critical area tomorrow。 but above all, i see china's future in you -- young people whose talent and dedication and dreams will do so much to help shape the 21st century。

i've said many times that i believe that our world is now fundamentally interconnected。 the jobs we do, the prosperity we build, the environment we protect, the security that we seek -- all of these things are shared。 and given that interconnection, power in the 21st century is no longer a zero-sum game; one country's success need not e at the expense of another。 and that is why the united states insists we do not seek to contain china's rise。 on the contrary, we wele china as a strong and prosperous and successful member of the munity of nations -- a china that draws on the rights, strengths, and creativity of individual chinese like you。ryedu

to return to the proverb -- consider the past。 we know that more is to be gained when great powers cooperate than when they collide。 that is a lesson that human beings have learned time and again, and that is the example of the history between our nations。 and i believe strongly that cooperation must go beyond our government。 it must be rooted in our people -- in the studies we share, the business that we do, the knowledge that we gain, and even in the sports that we play。 and these bridges must be built by young men and women just like you and your counterparts in america。

that's why i'm pleased to announce that the united states will dramatically expand the number of our students who study in china to 100,000。 and these exchanges mark a clear mitment to build ties among our people, as surely as you will help determine the destiny of the 21st century。 and i'm absolutelyconfident that america has no better ambassadors to offer than our young people。 for they, just like you, are filled with talent and energy and optimism about the history that is yet to be written。

so let this be the next step in the steady pursuit of cooperation that will serve our nations, and the world。 and if there's one thing that we can take from today's dialogue, i hope that it is a mitment to continue this dialogue going forward。

so thank you very much。 and i look forward now to taking some questions from all of you。 thank you very much。 (applause。)

good evening, ladies and gentlemen。

before my speech, i'd like to show my gratitude to the service and sacrifice of english union。 thank you for offering me such a fabulous opportunity to exchange with other english lovers。 my name is yang longbo, a boy majoring in automation in chang'an university。 my favorite motto is “follow your heart”。 former ceo of apple steve jobs once said," if you live each day as if it were the last, you'll certainly be right。", which made a deep impression on me。 he has used his life to prove the truth of this saying。 realizing that our time is limited has helped him make considerable difficult choices in life。 because almost everything-all expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment and failure-will run away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important。 don't let your inner voice be overwhelmed by the noise of others' opinions。 what is most important is having the courage to follow your own heart and intuition。 somehow they already know what you truly want to bee。 live everyday as if it were the last of your life and make your life better。

that is all。 thank you。

i have got quite different experience from other girls。 while they were playing toys at home, while they were dreaming to be the princesses in the story 。i was running in the hard rain, jumping in the heavy snow, pitching in the strong wind。nothing could stop me ,because of a wonderful call from my heart -- to be an athlete。yeah ,of course ,i'm an athlete,i'm so proud of that all the time 。

when i was 10 years old ,i became a shot-put athlete。the training was really hard ,i couldn't bear the heavy shot in my hands 。but i always believe that "god only help those who help themselves"。 during those hard days,i find i was growing more quickly than others of the same age。to be an athlete is my most correct choice。but, quit my team after entering high school because of a silly excuse。i really didn't want to stop my sports career anyway。

today i say to you my friends that even though i must face the difficulties of yesterday ,today and tomorrow 。i still have a dream 。it is a dream deeply rooted in my soul。

i have a dream that one day ,i can run, jump and pitch just like i used to be。

i have a dream that one day , i can go back to my dream sports and join the national team。

i have a dream that one day ,i can stand on the highest place at the olympic games。with all the cameras pointing at me。i will tell everyone that i'm so proud to be a chinese athlete!

this is my hope 。this is the faith that i continue my steps with!!!

with this faith ,i will live though the strong wind and heavy rain ,never give up !

so let victory ring from my heart, from all of you。when we allow victory to ring 。i must be the one!

in my imagination,i'm a bird ,a magical bird。i carry my dreams all with me by my big wings。 i fly though the mountains ,though the forests ,over the sea,to the sun ,the warmest place in the aerospace!

every night ,i have a dream ,i see a girl ---smiling!

good evening ,ladies and gentlemen:

thank you very much for choosing to e in such a cold night。today my topic is about choice and process。a research shows that a man has to make 73 choices one day。with so many choices one day, people easily get so confused and afraid of making wrong choice that they hesitate and finally miss the true part of life。 in my opinion, the following part is of much more importance than the choice。 there is no absolute right or wrong choice but wonderful or boring life, which the process makes the difference。

life is a box of chocolate, you never know what you will get。 forrest gump made no decision by and for himself but he acplished great success with his strong will in the process。 the process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings ,the caution, courage and persistance we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles。 take myself as an example, i changed my major when i became a postgraduate。 after the choice, days have been harsh for me。i cannot understand the new lessons at all。 for they are closely related to mathmatics which i learned nothing about before。 however wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself,i persisted。 i asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life。 gradually i could understand some parts and even found maths interesting。moreover, i learned to act instead of plaining。 in retrospect, the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months bees an unforgetable experience in my life。

no matter what the choice is, enjoy the process。 in the process, your potential will be inspired and new discoveries, improvement and progress will e to you。 these are the most beautiful sceneries and only on the way can you see it。these make your life colorful。

there is no need and i donnot want to judge whether it right or wrong for me to be here, but i congratulate to myself for i gain and enjoy this fantastic experience。 so my dear friends, never worry about your choice and enjoy the process。 i am sure you will get something new and intersting tonight after you chose to e here。 thank you!

good afternoon,ladies and gentlemen!

i’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! to begin with ,i want to ask a question 。does everybody dream a good dream last night? actually ,today i want to talk about dream with you。 of course, what i want to talk is not a dream you have last night, but a dream—— about life。

everyone has dreams about life, different dreams at different life stage, and we need dreams to support us。 dreams are like the stars we never reach in the sky,but like most mariners,we can chart our course by them。 with the dream,we have a direction, with a direction, we were no longer confused。with the dream, there is hope, with hope, we have the strength to fight。

i have a dream: to be a doctor。,because doctor may relieve the pain of patients。 may let the human change the health。 at the same time, i believed that, those who help others may be able to obtain joyfully。 therefore, i hoped in the near future ,i might be a doctor。

but i know, life is tough, and there are always ups and downs, maybe we fail in the way to our aims, and we may feel depressed ,whenever at this time, the dream in our heart can always fort us, encourage us ,and support us to move ahead 。

young!fortunately, i am young now。 just due to it, i know that nothing is impossible。i firmly believe that nothing can stand in my way。 if i can't realize my dream,it result from that i haven't work harder enough and i won't find other excuses。 if no people believe you, you can make it to prove that you are right。 if you think the god haven't blessed you and there is no truth here, you can bee the god and create the truth。

"my breath swallows the sky and make the yellow river overflow, my sword is famous in kyushu and it can collapse the five sacred mountains。" at some time in the past i also had am bitious words and i had some achievements。 each achievement results from my hard work。 i always believe that "if you want to have more achievements than others, you must work harder。" in some extent, the dream is the hope。 if you can insist on doing something, the victory will e。

hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly。 hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow。 so my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams。 whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today。 let's--- move ----out!

thank you for your listening!

good morning/afternoon!

first thing first, i gotta say, wow,it's funny thing to be given a chance like that。trurh be told,i really got a little bit nervous before i stand right here ,so called 'stage fright'。if you look specifically on me 。you may find my hands shaking, pretty assembles the guy who suffered from pakinson's disease, and legs wobbling ,like i caught so-called ball leg。 okay, let's stop going around the bush and get back to my topic today。i really like to talk a funny story i have just heard。

a lady called lucy emigrated to united states several years ago。her spoken english is not that fluent 。and one day,she is just sitting on the couch with his u。s friends mandy watching sit-。a noise of bump had the attention of mandy, which led her to go out of the house trying to figure out what had happened。can you imagine that mandy go straight out with merely a sweater。so lucy shouted at her,"lucy ,turn your clothes on。" what suprised her most, beyond her wildest imagination, is that almost all the male in this country took their head out of the window。admittedly, lucy made a mistake here 。the word spitted means mandy is totally naked to the reason that male looked out of the window。the right sentence shall be,"put your clothing on。"the story inspires you to take a careful look on the vast difference between eastern and western culture。

that's full of it,thank you for your time!

dear teacher and classmates:

i am very glad to make a speech here in this class again! this time, i/'d like to talk something about english。

good morning, dear teacher and my friends。

it’s a very intresting topic today。

i think my dad was a hero for me when i was a young child。 we'd go fishing, walks, and other fun things for a kid。

every child has a good and great father, and so do i。 my dad played a very important role in my daily life`````exactly speaking, in my past 16 years。

my father always stands in the center of my life, from past till now and possibly in the future。

my family was rather poor when i was in my childhood。 we didn't have our own house and had to live in a shabby, small room rented from my father's factory。 the room was so small that there was little space for people to walk。 i didn't have my own bed and had to sleep with my parents。 this is terrible both for my parents and me。but father made this all different!he works very hard on his own business, now we have our own 2 housese, surly,i have my own room。and he take our family so much happiness, richer and richer。

when i was little, i did everything with my dad。 you could always find me sitting on his knee or walking and doing everything with him。 every night he would read me a bed time story and make the voices of each character。

i learnt a lot from my daddy。 i learnt to never take things to seriously and to always smile。

like many other fathers, my dad and i also has generation gap。 he is not good at or even can’t work the puter。 so when i sitting at the puter desk,he will say something like ‘you should pay more attention to your study’, ‘don’t waste time on the puter games’ , ‘it will be bad for your eyes’ and so on。 how can i- a puter fan – reduce time on puter? so i continue studying and playing on it

years pasted, my father is over 45 now。 it is time for me to look after him and i am sure i will do and we will live an even better life。 and i will say,i really love you dad, cause you are the hero in my mind。

thank you so much!
