I didn’t deeply understand the old saying, “practice makes perfect” until l had learned to play Freeline skates 3 years ago. It is difficult to the point of impossibility for a person as me who is not good at sports to do maximal exercise skillful and attractive in my mind. I was injured in playing football when I was 6 years old and it made me to believe that I didn’t have much athletic talent, especially in maximal exercise which seemed more difficult and more complex. However, I can’t control myself to attracted by the exciting maximal exercise called Freeline skates which are consist of two separate metal or wooden plates with two wheels attached by a form of “trunk” designed specifically for the skates.

My roommate encouraged me to play the Freeline skates. He said he could image how cool I will be if I skated in the campus. I borrowed his Freeline skates and practiced once and twice and again, because I wanted to be cool and let others to pay attention to me especially for girls. Although it’s as hard as I expected while l had failed hundreds times I didn’t give up. About two weeks later, l could skate for a short distance suddenly. Although it is shaky and ugly, it is real skating. Three years later, now I can skate with high speed, graceful posture and great skills. Many people had a second glance when I was skating pass by them. Where there is a will, there is a why. You couldn’t image what else would you do if you didn’t try hundreds times later. If you ask me how can I skate so skillful and admirable, I shall say”practice makes perfect”.

I am sure that the famous saying “Practice Makes Perfect” is not unfamiliar to many people. “Practice Makes Perfect” means that doing something repeatedly is the only way to become good at it. In my opinion, no one can be perfect without practice, even the greatest athletes, musicians and scholars. They may have been born with extraordinary natural talent, but without practice they would not have been able to attain greatness.

The practice of learning English is also a good example. The four skills of English, namely, listening, speaking, reading and writing all require frequent practice. For those who want to speak fluent English, practicing oral English is very important cause we don't live in a country where English is spoken.Therefore, in order to learn it well, we need extra practice, such as reading English books, going to English corners, or communicating with the native speakers. I also want to take myself as an example. When I made preparations for my TEM-4 test, I did badly in the dictation part. I only got 6 or 7 marks in the beginning. When I realized that, I decided to change. So I planed to practice dictation in the morning and in the evening everyday. And after a month, it turned out that my dictation did improve and I did better and better. As a matter of fact, mastering the English language needs constant practice.

As another example, if we want to be skilled in using computers, we need to practice using them. Nowadays,some children become little computer experts. Why? I think it's just because they play with them every day with easy access to computers since they are young. Theories alone do not make masters.

Judging from the evidence offered, we might safely draw the conclusion that practice makes perfect.

It is these smiles that keep me wanting to go back, and that keep us all wanting to go back; looking at it from another view, if we break it down using business sense, a smile is one of the most effective means to generate sales and develop customer loyalty.

On top of all that, a smile is a very simple and easy thing to do, so it amazes why no one bothers to do it, it not only makes the person in front of you better, but it also makes you feel better as well, and I’m not making this up, it has been psychologically proven.
