Unit 1 Writing a tourist guide

一、 单元分析(Unit Analysis)

(一)单元地位(Unit Position) 1

本课中出现了 “If you go…, you will…”的条件状语从句。这个句式在7A Module 3 The natural elements Unit 3 Sea water and rain water中已经出现过。如:If there is no rain, there will be no water to drink.等。作为功能语言,教师有必要在课堂教学中加以一定的机械性训练。 2

I’d suggest they go …的用法也有较多出现,并且为首次出现,课文中主要结合上海的各个景点。教师可以根据所在区域设计多个场景,让学生进行操练。 (二)单元目标(Unit Target) 1 2 3 4 1

运用情态动词would来表达“建议”。如: I’d suggest they go to NanjingRoad. 运用if 句式表达条件。如: If you go to Pudong New District in the east of Shanghai, you will see the Nanpu Bridge.

用专有名词来表示地点。如:Yu Garden 运用there is/ are…,It is…句式来表示事实。 关键词:

1) 地方名称:Sheshan State Resort, Nanjing Road, Yu Garden, Shanghai Museum,

People’s Square, Nanpu Bridge, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Pudong New District, Water World, Shanghai Grand Theatre, the Municipal Hall。

2) 固定短语:be famous for, be known as, in the world, in the east of, do some

shopping。

3) 其他:tourist, association, paradise, pigeon, suspension, observatory。 2

功能:

1) Expressing conditions (表达条件)

 If you go there, you will see a huge open area of green grass. 2) Making suggestions(提出建议)

 -What would you suggest the tourists do ? -I’d suggest they go to Nanjing Road.

语法点:

本课出现了不少if引导的条件状语从句的句式,应作为本课的知识点重点教学。本课还多次出现了one of +the +形(最高级)+名词(复数),也是知识的重点。

The learners are the students form Class Twelve, Grade Seven of North Jincai Secondary School. They have been learning English for 7 years, so they are of different levels. Quite a few students are quite excellent. They do well in both speaking and writing. They are very active in class. But some students are at a lower English level. However, sometimes they can speak a little in class. What they need is a language environment. Therefore, group work in class is helpful for them to take an active part in the class.

lead to还可以表示“通向....”;“导致”的意思。

(1)sleep强调“睡觉”这一动作,可与表示时间的状语连用。

如:He was just falling asleep when there was a loud knock at the door.他刚入睡,(4)go to sleep 指“入睡,进入梦乡”这个动作,即begin to sleep.

如:He was so tiered taht he went to sleep soon.他很累,不久就睡着了。

(5)go to bed “就寝,上床睡觉”,着重上床准备睡觉的动作,无“睡着”之意。

如:He usually goes to bed at ten o’clock and goes to sleep/fall asleep five munites later.

二.方位介词

on意为“在„„的上面”;over意为“在„„(垂直)的正上方”;above意为“在„„(不一定垂直)的上方”;under意为“在„„(垂直的)正下方”;below的下方”;near意为“在„„附近”;next to意为“紧挨着„„”;round / around意为“在„„周围”;by意为“在„„旁边”;表示两者的位置关系时inon表示“接壤;相邻”;to表示“相离;相隔”,两者不属同一范围,也不接壤。

1. in的用法

1) 表示在“一个被包围的空间中”如:in a room/shop/a car

2) 表示在“一大片平面的地域内”。如:in a garden/a town/the city center/France

3) 常用在以下短语:in bed卧床,睡觉 in the sky在天空中 in a newspaper/book在报纸上/书上

in the world在世界上 in the middle of在...中间

2. at的用法

1) 表示“十分靠近”。常见短语有:

at the bus stop 在车站 at the door 在门口 at the traffic lights 在红绿灯前 at the desk在书桌

2) 用于以下短语:at home在家 at work/school上班/上学 at university/college 上大学 at the

station/airport 在车站/机场 at Jane’s (house)/my sister’s/the doctor’s /hairdresser’s在简在家/在我妹妹家/在诊所/在理发店....

3) in/at表示“在...里面”,与建筑物(hotel, restaurant,hospital等)连用时,可互换。如:We stay in/at

a nice hotel.我们住在一个很不错的酒店里。

3. on的用法

1) 表示“紧贴某物之上”。如:on the floor在地板上

2) 表示“骑在...上”。如:on a horse/a bike骑在马上/自行车上

3) 短语:on a bus/train在公车/火车上 on the first floor在一楼 on the way to...去..的路上

4. to的的用法

1) 表示“到,前往”。如:go/come/return/walk to

2) 在here, there, home前要省略介词。如:I usually walk there.

3) from...to表示“从...到...”。如:We walked from the hotel to the station.

5. next to(beside), between, in front of ,opposite及behind的用法

1) next to(beside)表示“在旁边”。如:I sit next to/beside John.我坐在约翰的旁边。

(二)教学思路

本课是7B Unit1-2的复习课。第一单元的话题是Dream home。第二单元的话题是Welcome to Sunshine Town,这两个话题是紧密相连、相互渗透的,所以把这两个话题放在一起复习更有利于学生的理解和运用。在复习第一个话题时,我把口语训练话题放在第一个教学环节,既训练口语,又作为复习课的导入。然后为了激活学生的记忆并为后面的话题作文作铺垫,所以就让学生快速回忆每个要素所涉及的单词、短语等。在第二个话题的处理中,由于时间

关系和避免同一方法的重复使用,就直接展示本话题中所涉及的重点短语,并让学生记忆,为后面的写作作准备,并自然过渡到写作话题My hometown。在写作前我先介绍写地点的结构,并就开头、地点及所做的事、结尾给学生一些示范,以降低写作困难生的写作难度。
