这个暑假里，妈妈给我买了本书，名字是《金银岛》。我非常喜欢。

在这本书里有很多有趣的故事，我常常不知不觉进入其中，感觉自己就是一个爱冒险的小男孩。虽然我未曾见过大海，可我却从中能感觉到大海的开阔，又能领略到它的无情。大自然真是多姿多彩。故事的主人公吉姆•霍金斯让我十分佩服，他的勇气、勇于尝试和探索的精神让我受益匪浅。他敢于向困难作斗争，遇到事情虽然冲动，但却能够积极面对，勇于承担，非常具有责任感，这正是我要在学习和生活中努力做到的。我还要学习他遇到难题善于动脑、不慌乱的特点，这不正是老师要求我们做到的吗？不过我在读的过程中也看到了一些不好的人，如以希尔弗为代表的人物，他怎么这样令人憎恨。只是为了钱财就杀害人的性命，满脑子都是金钱，他那凶狠、贪婪的面容令我感到害怕。老师经常教导我们要珍惜生命，爱护小动物，难道他小时候没受到这样的教育吗？我非常疑惑。

当然从这本书中也积累了一些我喜欢的词语：突如其来、破烂不堪、不堪入耳、厚颜无耻、慌不择路等等。

书中的最后其中一段我最喜欢：终于，西斯盘号又起航了。船长挂在木寨上空、我们曾为之而战的那面旗帜，现在又飘扬在了桅杆顶上。

——读《金银岛》有感

《金银岛》是英国作家斯狄文森的一部得意之作。它讲了一个寻宝故事，主人公吉姆是一个机智勇敢的小男孩，他无意在海岛的遗物中发现了一张藏宝图，他和乡绅、医生、船长一起去寻宝。没想到消息被海盗西尔弗等知道了，他们装成水手混上了船，幸好吉姆在桶偷听了海盗的谈话，知道了海盗的夺宝计划，一上岸就采取了行动，在加上岛上原有的本恩的帮主下，机智的与海盗周旋，打败了海盗，得到了宝藏。

人为财死，鸟为食亡，这话用在贪婪的海盗身上一点不假。西尔弗是个笑面虎、墙头草、两面派，看起来笑嘻嘻的其实内心无比歹毒，为了宝藏不惜杀任何人。其他海盗也一样，见利忘义，结果自相残杀，自取灭亡。吉姆他们虽然也是冲着钱来的但他们与海盗不同。他们不打算杀死任何人，而海盗想把敌人杀光；他们打算平分宝藏，而海盗个个想全部独吞；他们带了一个海盗走，留了三个海盗没杀，而海盗打算把敌人杀得一个不留……吉姆是个机灵的孩子从窃听海盗，到割断锚链他占功累累。李普西大夫不仅聪明，还善良、敬职。他经常出谋划策，打败海盗，而面对受伤的海盗，他说：“我留在这里尽力拯救这毫无价值的生命。”是多么敬职的好医生啊。乡绅老实本分，葛恩无私奉献，都是值得我们尊敬的人。

《金银岛》告诉我们该做什么样的人，不该做什么样的人，让我受益匪浅。

在故事结尾，杰夫返航后，并没提到他分到多少财宝，他反而发誓再也不去寻宝了。还时常受到噩梦困扰，梦见大海和金币。金币令杰夫做噩梦，而不是富贵梦；一味追求物质的满足，最终只是徒劳；贪婪和欲望永远不会带来美好的生活。如果人人都明白这个道理，恐怕便不会发生一些野心家为争夺名利而不择手段的事情了。

这本书里，从头到尾都围绕着一个冒险故事旋转，在这里面一个少年出生在一个贫穷的家里，以开着酒店维持生计。那个少年就是主人公吉姆.霍金斯。他无意之中发现了老海盗藏着金银财宝的荒岛地图。于是，他与别的朋友商量，他的朋友带着一群水手踏上了探宝之旅。但是不久，他们船中的一群水手叛变，就此双方的激烈对战开始，他们与敌人展开了惊心动魄搏斗。最后，由于各个船员的

努力，胜利落向了吉姆这一方，不久，他们载着金银财宝兴高采烈的满载而归回到了家乡。

虽然我没有亲身去到那儿冒险，但是在我的脑海中，总能浮出一丝景象，吉姆他那正直的面孔总能出现，在他身边他是显得那么的高尚、善良、勇敢，他总是能制服海盗，取得胜利，他是多么勇敢！当我听到他这句话时震撼得全身发抖，如这一段„„我们看见陆地的那天夜里，我就在苹果桶里，我听到了你——约翰，还有你——迪克.约翰逊，还有汉兹，他现在是在海底了，我还在一小时内，把你们说的每句话都报告了。至于纵帆船吗，使我割断了船的缆索，是我杀死了你们留在船上的人，是„„就当我看到这些的时候我心里十分震撼一个少年能有那么大的勇气说出这些，这让我很佩服。

当然我有佩服的人也有愤恨的人，例如西尔弗为代表的人物，在他们的身上体现的都是虚伪、非分、邪恶的，他们为了自己而杀死别人的性命，他们没有为自己所做的事情感到愧疚，而是更猖狂。越想到金钱脑子空空，仅剩下杀人的念头，想一个接一个的把人喉管割破，横行霸道。让我的脑子里全部浮现出他们带着一双凶恶的眼睛恐怖的狞笑拿着水手短刀疯狂的杀了很多人，只为了自己的利益而丧失人性。

虽然，这篇小说以假乱真，但是他的作品中体现善良与邪恶之间的尖锐对抗，所以我觉得故事警告着我们干什么都不能自私，因为那是在你人生路上的错路，而吉姆他们身上体现是一种正义为代表的精神财富。

康德曾说过：“我已经给自己选定了道路，我将坚定不移。既然我已经踏上着条道路，那么，任何东西都不应妨碍我沿着这条路走下去。”是啊，如果一个人，他的一生总是碰到困难就躲避的话，那么他的人生就是虚度的，也永远不会有任何的成就；而相反，一个人如果有很强的责任心的话，那他就会是成功的主人。以前，我也很怕困难，不过，自从今天我读了这本《金银岛》后，我决心要做成功的主人。 一场生死的搏斗，最终平安返航的冒险。 看了内容的简介，也许你会觉得没有给你任何启发，可是我却受益不浅。我懂得了很多，懂得顽强的精神和勇气才是生活中的宝藏，懂得了我们在困难面前，不应该低头，而是应该勇敢的面对困难。这对于瞎子皮尤的手下却是一个鲜明的对比，虽然为非作歹的瞎子皮尤，这个人物，最终死在了马蹄下，不禁让人大觉爽快。但他的一些话还是让我记忆尤深“发财的机会就在你们眼前，你们却仍然在忧郁不决！„„你们明明知道东西肯定没被带远，却没有勇气继续寻找下去„„”，如果你就是皮尤的手下的话，成功的机会就在你的面前，你有勇气继续前进吗？ 我们先不说这个问题，走出小说世界，来到我们的现实生活。曾经看过这样一句话“生活的一半是倒霉，另一半是处理倒霉”，可以看出我们的生活周围存在的荆棘很多。我们追求知识，追求着自己的追求，随着生活范围的扩大，一个人肯定会遇到新的挫折和失败，而这当中需要什么？需要勇气。当然，勇敢，并不是指轻率的鲁莽从事，勇敢意味着在你经过反复斟酌后决定承担一些你力所不及的事情。有这样一句话：热爱生活，要感谢生活的赏赐，不要临阵逃脱，要尽力去超越自己——那么你会发现你的能力要大大超过你的想象。就像文中的吉姆一样，他是多么的勇敢啊！当他身陷敌营，大夫让他逃跑时，他却说“我必须呆在这里不走，因为我发过誓，而且不能辜负西尔弗对我的信任”，人们常说：“人物的语言常常能够反映一个人的性格品质，而吉姆的优秀品质因此而体现的淋淋尽至。 当然，

Treasure Island

Treasure Island was written by Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson, a novelist, poet, essayist and travel writer, who was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1850 and died in 1894, only in his forties. Stevenson, unlike his father and grandfather, both the famous civil engineers, had eyes only for literature. Although he became a lawyer as the compromise of being an engineer and a writer, according to his fathers’ will, he never reduced his passion of literature and finally achieved his dream. Despite of his poor health, he created a great number of literary works, including essays、travel notes、novels and poetries. And Treasure Island was one of his most famous works. Besides, in his times, the Victorian times, there were two popular types of novel, the one dealing with the theme of the navy yarn which places a capable officer in an adventurous situation within a realistic setting and historical events, another one that deal thematically with the desert island romance. The latter one influenced Stevenson’ works most, typically showed in Treasure Island.

Treasure Island narrates the unusual sea adventure of a young boy called Jim Hawkins, with his friends, Dr Liversey, squire Trelawney and Captain Smollett. Everything begins when a strange seafaring man, named Sea Dog, lives into Admiral Benbow Inn kept by Jim’ parents. During Sea Dog’ living in the inn, Jim is paid a slivery fourpenny per month for keeping his eyes open for a seafaring man with one leg. However, few months later, Sea Dog is killed by Black Dog as well as brings danger to Jim’s village. After the death of Jim’s father and the escape of all villagers, Jim and his mother take a risk to go back the inn and dig for Sea Dog’ sea chest in the purpose of gain back the debate owned by him. And they narrowly come back with a chart in hand. Then, Jim and his friends start their way to Treasure Island.

During their voyage, Jim overheards the conspiracy, planned by John Sliver, the one-leg cook trusted

admired and loved by everyone in the ship, especially Jim, that he and his confederates are going to kill others after gaining the treasure. Knowing the truth, Jim and his friends fight with them beneath darkness until reach the island. Jim and his friends together with some hands much less than John’s, try their best to get into the stockade left in the island with some supplies ,battling with enemies. Feeling bored, Jim slips away from the stockade and starts his own adventure. He sneaks into the sailing ship which is guarded only by two seamen and kills one alive after they have a battle, hiding it in a bay, which becomes the key to their successful return later. Startlingly, the stockade is occupied by John and Jim himself finds his way into it. In order to smooth the hands’ indignation of poor situation with no treasure and keep his own life, John saves Jim and all set off for the treasure. With the courage and wisdom of Jim’s camp, they triumph in the battle with these pirates and return full loaded with treasure in the ship hidden by Jim.

The plot of this novel is excellent. As the plot in front and behind have close connection with each other and keeps we readers in suspense. When the Sea Dog appears, we are wondering that who is he and why he is afraid of the one leg seaman, that who is Black Dog and what is he looking for. Only we continue to read, can we know that there is chat for treasure. What’s more, we still yearn for the following story, wanting

to know whether they get the treasure or not. Thus, the plot crucially attracts the readers. Meanwhile, the characters of the figure in the novel are vivid and realistic. Just like the young hero, Jim, bold and smart as he is, he has the demerits of real person, juveniles’ actually. During the battle with John’s camp filled with blood and wonder as well as smell and heat added by the weather, Jim is sick and bored of all these things and thinks childishly what if he can get out of there, and he do what he thinks, knowing he will disappoint his companions. As “…, with my clothes stuck to the hot resin, and so much blood about me, and so many poor dead bodies lying all around, that I took a disgust of the place that was almost as strong as fear.” The contradiction buried in Jim’s body makes him alive and gleaming. And Long John who is depicted as a kind,bright cook at first, turns out to be a false,greedy,ruthless pirate, which impresses us most. The hardest thing to depict this kind person is how to make readers feel startled when knowing the truth.

This novel is well famous not only for its exciting and attracting plots that grasp your eyes, but also for its vivid description of the characters. Though there are a lot of characters in it, we don’t get confused because of their different and unique characteristics. Above all, the most successful part is the description of the main characters. So let’s get to it. Coming first, of course, is our Jim Hawkins, who is the protagonist and the narrator of this story. He is my favorite, because from Jim, we can see almost all of the noble personalities of human nature: the braveness, the honesty, the kindness, the good faith, the justice, the curiosity and so on. So this is the character which is definitely the most admirable one by all. Also the author successfully depicts him by writing the true psychology activities of a teenager. For example, the sentence “MY curiosity, in a sense, was stronger than my fear, for I could not remain where I was, but crept back to the bank again”, it shows the real behavior of a young country lad with a keen eye for excitement and an urge for adventure.

There are two reasons for the question, why Stevenson portrays the child as the perfect character. According to my point of view, firstly, he wants to settle Jim as the model for youngsters. He wants the youngsters to really learn some good qualities of Jim, which will benefit them forever. Secondly, he wants to educate the adults by satirizing their evil personalities in comparison to Jim. We can say that the voyage is an impressive lesson taught not by words, but by behaviors. The adults’ greed, their cruelty, their craft, personally speaking, is all caused by the “treasure”. So this is what Stevenson wants to tell us. That is, we should not be driven by money. The society calls for sincerity, kindness, and beauty.

However, the most successful character in this work is Long John Silver. He is unforgettable for his cruelty, his crafty, his calmness as well as his power, both physically and psychologically. At the same time, his appearance is also unique, with his one wooden leg and his parrot Captain Flint, making him more mysterious. And one of the most impressive situations that I remember is when Jim found the black dog in Silver's restaurant, Silver uses his gentle manner, his “kind” smile, his tricky words and his unbelievable calmness to make Jim trust him and stop this case from worsening. Above all, Long John Silver, this complex, charming and crooked character not only won him big quantity of treasure at last, but also made this novel widely appreciated.

Besides the major characters, there are also many lively minor characters, such as Dr. Livesey, who has a high sense of duty that he even visits the enemy camp to treat the wounded, and Mrs. Hawkins, who would neither like to take less money that Billy owes, nor take more under urgent circumstances.

Furthermore, the written language of the novel is powerful and vivid. We can enjoy the process of reading, excited and expectant. The novel is rich in beautiful and lifelike description for environment and minute description for figures. For example, “The rocks of the Spy-glass re-echoed it a score of times; the whole troop of marsh-birds rose again, darkening heaven, with a simultaneous whirr; and long after that death-yell was still ringing in my brain, silence had re-established its empire, and only the rustle of the redescending birds and the boom of the distant surges disturbed the languor of the afternoon.” It combines the hero’s feelings with the environment and uses rhetoric, like personification, and makes us involved in the environment. And “…, his sea chest following behind him in a hand barrow; a tall, strong, heavy, nut-brown man; his tarry pigtail falling over the shoulders of his soiled blue coat; his hands ragged and scarred, with black, broken nails; and the saber-cut across one cheek, a dirty, livid white.” It tells every details of the man, giving a light of the man’s possible job and character. What’s more, the varied sentence patterns and words add color to the language.

Besides, from this novel, we can see what human nature is, greedy、cruel one and sincere、kind one. Although there are people who are really kindhearted, for instance, Dr Liversey, so many people run after treasure, sacrifice everything they can, only ending in death. They betray friends and companions with no sham, kill people with no guilty, seize treasure with full greedy heart. What do they get? Not a single thing, comparing with Jim’s camp. Stevenson uses this contract and tries to tell us what the really valuable thing is. That is the friendship and a kind heart rather than treasure. We can never indulge in pursuing money stuff.

All in all, this book is obviously pretty successful in depicting different characteristics and from analyzing the characters, you can understand what the author is appraising and criticizing. we also

can enjoy the attractive plot and language while learn the meaningful thing in our life, knowing what should be done and what shouldn’t. And I think this book can still tell us something in such a material society where some people are chasing money without moral standard. And after finish reading this great book, I will surely be a good person like Jim, and I hope this world will one day be filled with not “treasure”, but the noble human nature!

我从这个故事令中令悟到人所具有的高尚品质诸如人性的纯扑诚实与正直，彼此的关爱与友善等品质，远比金银财宝更可贵，当然我们遭遇时，只要互相团结，同舟共济，就能化险为夷。
