Everyone has two sides. One side is good, while another is evil. If a person is hated, discriminated against and persecuted for a long time, he will become evil and do something wrong, or even worse. For example, after being treated so badly and unfairly, the monster who is told in the novel kills many people for revenge. From what have been mentioned above, I have an opinion that we’d better do what we can to be kind to other people, which is beneficial to all of us.

《Frankenstein

Frankenstein

The novel ”Frankenstein”, which was written by Mary Shelley, is about a creature produced by a scientist. Shelley started writing the story when she was 19. At the age of 21, this book was published. The first edition was published anonymously in London in 1818. When I saw the cover picture of this book, I felt a little fearful, but I still looked forward to reading it.

The novel began with explorer Robert Walton traveling to the Pole. He found a man frozen in a block of ice on the way. The man, Victor Frankenstein, told the crew his life story. He had a happy childhood, and he was crazy about natural philosophy and chemistry and basically tried to play God by creating life. When he found the secret of activating dead flesh, he created a monster. Although it was all made by good materials, but it became something ugly. Then he found the monster missing. When the monster was born, he loved the world very much. He hid in the mountains and learned to use fire. But because of his appearance, he became disgusting in

everyone’s eyes. When he knew that his only master abandoned him, he was so disappointed to this world that he began to kill his master’s family one by one. Victor finally found the monster. The monster told Victor his experience, and demanded of Frankenstein a female mate who he can be with until his end, and promised to live away from society. Victor made the second monster, but quickly destroyed it. As return for him breaking the promise, the monster killed Elizabeth on the wedding night of Victor and her. From then on, he chased after the monster, and finally he was discovered by the crew on Robert’s ship. There victor ended his story, and died in front of the men. That same night, the monster entered the room where victor laid dead. Finally, the monster scampered into the ice fields.

In my opinion, the causes of this tragedy are the society and the scientist. If a person is hated, he will become evil and do something wrong. After being treated so badly and unfairly, the monster killed many people for revenge because of the cold society. I have an opinion that we’d better do what we can to be kind to other people, which is beneficial to all of us.

To sum up, what a great story!

Frankenstein is a novel by Marry Shelley. She was born in 1797 and was a female writer in London. Her old name was called Mary Godwin, Her father was a philosopher and novelist in England. In 1816, she got married with Percy Bysshe Shelley, who was a famous Romantic poet in 19th century.

After that, The Last Man(1826), Lodore(1835) and Folker(1837) were turned out one after another and they brought Marry Shelley worldwide popularity. This is a book of science fiction which tells us an advent story. The hero Frankenstein is engaged in people’s life scientific research and tries hard to use artificial method to create life. In his laboratory, he eventually creates an obnoxious and ugly monster through countless explorations. At the beginning, the artificial monster has kindhearted nature. He is full with goodwill and

thanksgiving towards people. He asks his creator and people to give him every life right and even asks for a spouse. However, he feels very disappointed when he is always discriminated by people and his creator. So he hates everything and eager to ruin everything around the world. He kills

Frankenstein’s brother and attempted to murder Frankenstein’s fiancée. In order to save other people, Frankenstein has his bosom filled with anger to hound the monster. At last, he and the monster both end in death in the battle. This novel shows the author’s attitude towards life. She thinks people have double characters---goodness and badness. People are going to do wrong things if they are discriminated and persecuted by other people for a long time. What’s worse, they may destroy all the world.

Impression of “Invisible Man”

The narrator begins telling his story with the claim that he is an “invisible man.” His invisibility, he says, is not a physical condition—he is not literally invisible—but is rather the result of the refusal of others to see him. He says that because of his invisibility, he has been hiding from the world, living underground and stealing electricity from the Monopolated Light & Power Company. He burns 1,369 light bulbs

simultaneously and listens to Louis Armstrong’s “(What Did I Do to Be So) Black and Blue” on a phonograph. He says that he has gone underground in order to write the story of his life and invisibility.

As a young man, in the late 1920s or early 1930s, the narrator lived in the South. Because he is a gifted public speaker, he is invited to give a speech to a group of important white men in his town. The men reward him with a briefcase containing a scholarship to a prestigious black college, but only after humiliating him by forcing him to fight in a “battle royal” in which he is pitted against other young black men, all blindfolded, in a boxing ring. After the battle royal, the white men force the youths to scramble over an electrified rug in order to snatch at fake gold coins. Three years later, the narrator is a student at the college. He is asked to drive a wealthy white trustee of the college, Mr. Norton, around the campus. Norton talks incessantly about his daughter, then shows an undue interest in the narrative of Jim Trueblood, a poor, uneducated black man who impregnated his own daughter. After hearing this story, Norton needs a drink, and the narrator takes him to the Golden Day, a saloon and brothel that normally serves black men. A fight breaks out among a group of mentally imbalanced black veterans at the bar, and Norton passes out during the chaos. He is tended by one of the veterans, who claims to be a doctor and who taunts both Norton and the narrator for their blindness regarding race relations.

1

The narrator says that he has stayed underground ever since; the end of his story is also the beginning. He states that he finally has realized that he must honor his individual complexity and remain true to his own identity without sacrificing his responsibility to the community. He says that he finally feels ready to emerge from underground.

Themes

As the narrator of Invisible Man struggles to arrive at a conception of his own identity, he finds his efforts complicated by the fact that he is a black man living in a racist American society. Throughout the novel, the narrator finds himself passing through a series of communities, from the Liberty Paints plant to the Brotherhood, with each microcosm endorsing a different idea of how blacks should behave in society. As the narrator attempts to define himself through the values and expectations imposed on him, he finds that, in each case, the prescribed role limits his complexity as an individual and forces him to play an inauthentic part. Upon arriving in New York, the narrator enters the world of the Liberty Paints plant, which achieves financial success by subverting blackness in the service of a brighter white. There, the narrator finds himself involved in a process in which white depends heavily on black—both in terms of the mixing of the paint tones and in terms of the racial makeup of the workforce. Yet the factory denies this dependence in the final presentation of its product, and the narrator, as a black man, ends up stifled. Later, when the narrator joins the Brotherhood, he believes that he can fight for racial equality by working within the ideology of the organization, but he then finds that the Brotherhood seeks to use him as a token black man in its abstract project.

Ultimately, the narrator realizes that the racial prejudice of others causes them to see him only as they want to see him, and their limitations of vision in turn place limitations on his ability to act. He concludes 2

that he is invisible, in the sense that the world is filled with blind people who cannot or will not see his real nature. Correspondingly, he remains unable to act according to his own personality and becomes literally unable to be himself. Although the narrator initially embraces his invisibility in an attempt to throw off the limiting nature of stereotype, in the end he finds this tactic too passive. He determines to emerge from his underground “hibernation,” to make his own contributions to society as a complex individual. He will attempt to exert his power on the world outside of society’s system of prescribed roles. By making proactive contributions to society, he will force others to acknowledge him, to acknowledge the existence of beliefs and behaviors outside of their prejudiced expectations.

Over the course of the novel, the narrator realizes that the complexity of his inner self is limited not only by people’s racism but also by their more general ideologies. He finds that the ideologies advanced by

institutions prove too simplistic and one-dimensional to serve something as complex and multidimensional as human identity. The novel contains many examples of ideology, from the tamer, ingratiating ideology of Booker T. Washington subscribed to at the narrator’s college to the more violent, separatist ideology voiced by Ras the Exhorter. But the text makes its point most strongly in its discussion of the Brotherhood. Among the Brotherhood, Because he has decided that the world is full of blind men and sleepwalkers who cannot see him for what he is, the narrator describes himself as an “invisible man.” The motif of invisibility pervades the novel, often manifesting itself hand in hand with the motif of blindness—one person becomes invisible because another is blind. While the novel almost always portrays blindness in a negative light, it treats invisibility much more ambiguously. Invisibility can bring disempowerment, but it can also bring freedom and mobility. Indeed, it is the freedom the narrator derives from his anonymity that enables him to tell his story. Moreover, both the veteran at the Golden Day and the narrator’s grandfather seem 3

to endorse invisibility as a position from which one may safely exert power over others, or at least undermine others’ power, without being caught. The narrator demonstrates this power in the Prologue, when he literally draws upon electrical power from his hiding place underground; the electric company is aware of its losses but cannot locate their source. At the end of the novel, however, the narrator has decided that while invisibility may bring safety, actions undertaken in secrecy cannot ultimately have any meaningful impact. One may undermine one’s enemies from a position of invisibility, but one cannot make significant changes to the world. Accordingly, in the Epilogue the narrator decides to emerge from his hibernation, resolved to face society and make a visible difference.

《The Kite Runner

The Kite Runner

The Kite Runner was written by Khaled Hosseini, an Afghan. It tells the story of Amir, a well-to-do Pashtun boy from the Wazir Akbar Khan district of Kabul, who was haunted by the guilt of betraying his childhood friend Hassan, the son of his father's Hazara servant.

Twelve year old Amir was desperate to win the approval of his father, one of the richest and most respected merchants in Kabul. He had failed to do so through academia, but the one area where they connected was the annual kite fighting tournament. Amir was determined not just to win the competition but to run the last kite and brought it home successfully, to prove to his father that he had the ability of a man. His loyal friend Hassan was the best kite runner that Amir had ever seen, and he promised to help him - for Hassan always helped Amir out of trouble. But Hassan was a Shi'a Muslim and this was 1970s Afghanistan. Hassan was taunted and jeered at by Amir's school friends; he was merely a servant living in a shack at the back of Amir's house.

Although Hassan was loyal to Amir, Amir hurted Hassan again and again. Amir’s behavior could really be called "mean",but I believe, every reader will forgive him. Because everyone's heart has a Amir,he is timid, sensitive and filled with jealousy. But Amir had a moral sense than any other people, he was strict with himself. Because of this, when he couldn't resist the temptation and had to do something that hurt the loyal hassan , he would never forgive himself for the betrayal of hassan. At last ,he tried to adopted the orphan of Hassan so that he got the final redemption

Compared with Amir,Hassan was simple. He was loyal and kind. Whatever Amir did to him ,he would forgive him. He finally died in order to protect the Amir’s house. He kept his promise with his life :“For you, times over!”

After reading this book, I have a deeper understanding of responsibility. This book contains a lot——responsibility, honesty, friendship, forgiveness and so on. Everyone may make mistakes, but the most important thing is to have the courage to take responsibility for it. There were many times that we hurt others because of impulsive thoughts.

This book tells us the auther atoned for his crime after innumerable trials and hardships. We can feel his personality charm.

The kite,in this book,is family love ,is friendship, is kindness, is honesty. It was an indispensable part in our personality.

Everyone has a kite in his heart, no matter what it means, we need the courage to pursue it.

My Impressions after Reading”Gone with the Wind”

——10911010330

Recently,I have just finished reading a famous novel written by Margaret mitchell—“Gone with the Wind”,which is one of the most popular works among American novels. It took the auther about 10 years to finish this great novel, the only novel in her life.

The story happened during the Civil War eve.Scarlett O'Hara,a 16-year-old girl, who was living in Tala manor in Georgia, was loving her neighbor Ashley Wilkes. However, after the war have broken out, Ashley Wilkes married his yonger cousin Melanie. Scarlett was so angry that she decided to marry a man she didn’t really love---- Charles Hamilton. Not long after that, Charles Hamilton joined the Army and died of illness in the war.So Scarlett had to act as a widow.Afterwards,at a donating dance party,Scarlett is acquainted with a captain named Rhett Butler. Then the flames of war approached Atlanta.Everyone was busy leaving away from the war.Scarlett managed to escape from Atlanta with the help of captain Rhett.Having come back to Tala manor,Scarlett made up her mind to rally her homeland at any cost when she saw that the former manor had been ruined.Later, her second husband died in the fight, she was a widow again.Durling that time, Rhett had been loving Scarlett sincerely and warmly.Seeing that Rhett could help her rally the manor,Scarlett married him.Although Rhett had similar characteristic attracting her,Scarlett still loved Ashley.Later, their only daughter died accidently,Rhett left Scarlett sorrowly. And then Scarlett realized that Rhett was the only one who could fall in love with her.

The novel takes the US Civil War as the background. It takes Scarlett’s individual activity as the thread. The book show us a tragic love story .A couple who could have a perfect future, but finnally go in opposite direction. As a matter of fact, their charactristics have decided their tragic result inevitably. We feel sorry about the end because we are looking forward to a perfect end, just like Scarlett and Rhett. In fact, ferfect is always a excessive damand.

I affirm Rhett. He brings excitement to Scarlett’s life and encourages her impulse to change and succeed.Like Scarlett,he goes after what he wants and refuses to take ‘no’ for an answer. He is humorous, intelligent and cynical with a hint of treason. He is really a respectable man.I think he finnally left because of love .Otherwise,he couldn’t have gone without hesitation.

Ashley Wilkes is the foil to Rhett’s dark, realistic opportunism. If there was no Civil War,he is surely a nobility of grace and charm. But history cannot be changed. He bocame a victim of the war.His era was gone with the defeat of the war.At the same time,we cannot deny the fact that he had a chear understanding about reality, which just contribute to his tragedy.

In this book, what I appreciate most is not Melanie’skindness or Rheet’s dedication and patience, but Scarlett’s courage to throw her long-standing morality and tradition whe faced with diffiiculties. At the beginning of the war,she didn’t care about this.In her world are endless dinner parties and dance parties. In her body are her father’s brave Irish blood

and her mother’s noble French pure blood. She had a vast farm as her home. She had hundreds of slaves. This is Scarlett.,a member of noblity, proud and different. However, the war changed everything. Her mother died of illness. Her father become silent and the farm was nearly deserted.Even food became a big problem. All the pressure was put on Scarlett’s shoulder. She must feed a family of 9 people in it.What a big difference of level. If all this happened to someone else,he or she may choose to escape. On the contrary,Scarlett choose to face the change of life bravely. How can we not admire her courage of to change herself.Life is like a mountain. The road can’t be completely smooth. When we fall down from the peak,we may get hert ,we may get disappointed,we may feel despair. But if you want to survive, you must stand up to face it.

It is obvious that <<Gone with the wind>> is really a good book, even if a long time has passed away,it is still suitable for today’s society. It is of great importance to change ourselves, change our value even our thoughts when our life chages.

On the other hand,I think there is no real perfect in the world.Everybody has his shortcomings. It is necessary for us to learn to forgive others’ faults. If we keep good-tempered,Ibelieve there will be more comedy and less tragedy.

Book Report Example

In Contempt Book Report

Book Written by Chris Darden

This report is based upon the book In Contempt, written by Christhopher A. Darden with Jess Walter. This book is published by Regan Books an imprint of Harper Collins Publishers and is copyrighted 1996 by Christopher A. Darden.

Introduction of the Author

The book In Contempt was written by Christopher A. Darden. Chris Darden is famous for being one of the prosecuting attorneys in the court case The People vs. Simpson. He has worked hard his whole life to reach the status he has now achieved. He proved to America that even though he wasn't a high-priced private lawyer that he could present a well-thought out and planned case under the tremendous pressure he and the other prosecutors had to endure during the Simpson case.

Summary

I found this book to be very well thought out and well written. Most people would assume that this book was written with the intentions of making a quick-buck off the misfortune of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. I, however, do not believe this to be true. The way that the author speaks of the victims in the book and the way he spoke of them before and after the trial shows that he really cared about the lives of these people that he didn't even know. He even went as far as to say in the book that this was the first case that affected him personally and emotionally.

As one may expect, the majority of this book is taken up with the Simpson case. Chapters two through six detail his life from birth, his childhood in a working class district of Richmond, California and his becoming a district attorney of Los Angeles in 1981. Chapters two and three mostly consist of stories of him and his brother, Michael, stealing from local stores or his brothers’ drug deals. When Michael hit his mid-teens he started selling marijuana off the front porch of the house and Chris was his lookout. In return, he was told that he would be cut in on the action but never was. No matter what, Michael always told Chris never to use drugs.

Throughout the book Chris Darden refers to his brother as a good role model for him no matter what he did.

I feel the purpose of Chris Darden writing this book is to try to show the hardships he had to go through as a black man trying to become a lawyer. Also I feel that he is trying to reveal the truth behind what was happening in the Simpson case.

Body of the Review

This book is funny and at other times the mood is more serious. The few chapters in the

beginning were the funny ones. In these chapters he writes about his childhood and works his

way forward to when he starts to work in the District Attorney's Office. Specifically he tells about how he was caught stealing a Hostess Fruit pie at the corner store, sneaking crackers from his house pantry, and being teased about having false teeth as a child. As he writes and talks about when he gets older the mood changes and gets more serious.

He writes a lot about his brother who was a big influence on him when he was young. Darden retells stories of how he and his brother, Michael, would salvage old, broken radios from the trash and repair them and then sit on Saturday nights listening to the local R and B station. His brother would always comment on how the Temptations were the best band ever. Also, he tells of the time when his brother was smoking a joint in their bedroom when their father came bursting into the room. Thinking quickly, Chris' brother swallowed the still lit joint. His father smelled the marijuana but never found any evidence of the joint.

As he tells about his childhood, he remembers how his grandmother would ask him what he wanted to be when he grew up and as far back as he could remember he would say that he wanted to be a lawyer. Christopher Darden grew up like a lot of black families of that time period, poor. They did have enough money to buy a 30,000 house and they always had a pantry full of food. Not many people from his neighborhood ever made much of themselves but he always believed in himself and his grandmother always believed that he could do anything that he put his mind to. She was the only person that believed he could be a lawyer and always introduced him as a future lawyer.

In high school Chris followed in his brother's footsteps and joined the track team. This would be his ticket to a scholarship at Berkeley University, and the start to his law career. After

completing college, he applied for a job in the District Attorney's Office, and surprisingly got the job at the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office in 1981. Through the years, he worked his way up through the ranks of the D. A. s' Office and became a very prominent lawyer. He worked for 14 years before the Simpson case was brought before him. He never expected to work the case but sometimes strange things happen. He worked hard to prove that Simpson was guilty but justice was never found.

Out of the 20 murder cases that Darden had worked, the Simpson case was the only one he lost. After he lost, he vowed never to work in law again.

Conclusion

I didn't find this book particularly useful, but it was a very good book to read and it gave me more insight as to what has happened in Chris Darden's life and what he went through during the Simpson case. When I got the book I approached it like most students do when they have a book report to write. I didn't want to read the book but had to in order to get a good grade. As I started to read the first chapter, which was about the Simpson case I realized that the book wasn't just the boring drivel you would expect from a lawyer. It was intelligently written and had amusing stories from his childhood and fraternity days. Although I didn't want to read it' it wasn't as bad as I had expected, and I found it to be enjoyable and informative.

《The Loons

On Theme of The Loons

The Loons, one of the well-known fictions of Margaret Laurence, portrays the living conditions of the protagonist, Piquette Tonnerre, who is an Indian girl. On the other hand, we can find that the loons are mentioned several times in the story, which echoes the title. As far as I am concerned, the loons and the growth of Piquette serve as two clues from which two branch themes are expressed respectively.

Piquette is a plain-looking girl coming from a humble family. She has to do family chores and cannot attend school regularly. She limps because of tuberculosis of the bone. The father of the narrator Vanessa is the doctor of Piquette. He took Piquette with the families to Diamond Lake for a vacation because of sympathy for her. Piquette was an unsociable and mocking girl and sensitive to the topic of woods and loons mentioned by Vanessa. During the vacation they remained ill at ease with each other. Four years later Vanessa got startled at Piquette’s great change when meeting her occasionally n a café. She became much more beautiful and opener than before but seemed to being living a disordered life. She blew about her approaching marriage with her handsome boy friend. In

the end when Vanessa because a college student Piquette died with her children in a fire.

From the contrast of the different lives of the two girls we can find the huge gap between the minorities and the mainstream of Canadian society. Indians were the aborigines of the Continent of North America before Europeans immigrating here and driving them away to secluded areas. So Indians remain discriminated against by the white-dominated society. They are of humble status and cannot adapt themselves to the mainstream culture. Piquette is just a representative of those present living condtions of them.

In the story the narrator tells us about her two experiences of listening the cry of loons. Once during the vacation Vanessa listened to them with her father. The crying of the loons was described as ululating, plaintive and mocking. She went to the Diamond Lake again after hearing about the death of Piquette. However, the loons disappeared because more cottages were built and more people came in. The habitats of the loons were destroyed by human beings gradually and they might die out sooner and lataer.

The loons are the symbol of nature as well as ecosystem, and the extinction of loons reflects the ecological crisis caused in the process of human civilization as well as the predatory exploitation human beings have exerted to nature.

The author conveys great concern for the harmonious coexistence of human beings with nature and equality between people of different races, sexes or classes by criticizing the relationship of dominating and being dominated between human beings and nature as well as their fellows. What the loons and Piquette have in common is that they represent the culture and civilization of minorities. In the modern society of multiculturalism different kinds of cultures and different races are treated unequally. To reach the goal of harmonious development we human beings have to protect and respect nature and minority groups. This is just what the author wants to convey to us.

The Analects of Confucius

Recently, I have read the Analects of Confucius . it is, the literature translation of "the Analects of Confucius, my mood is complex, now id talk like to talk about my impressions of the book.

. "The Analects of Confucius" is our Chinese nation's precious cultural heritage, which not only affects the Chinese history of two thousand years, but in the world has had a major impact,,itisKnown as the Oriental "Bible", in the "Analects of Confucius", we can deeply feel the Confucius "be tireless in teaching others" and "lifelong learning" spirit ,.His broad and profound educational thought is filled with the light of wisdom, which is China's traditional education 's precious wealth..

Learning path.

A learning attitude.

Confucius attaches great importance to learning attitude, emphasizing

To learn is life "".He bore "bright as is fond of studying." stable, and modestly said they do not have an insatiable desire to learn "".He also advocate mutual learning attitude, "to have friends from afar, awfully?"The "Le", friends and learn from each other, in music, is the increase in learning music. The most valuable is Confucius advocated "is" of the spirit, he affirmed the student grooms "hole is" spirit, this spirit is in today's society, we are missing, one can obtain more abundant knowledge, must learn to ask, only in this way can you have the opportunity to become one.

Two, learning method.

"Learning proficiency for Officialdom", emphasize the main revision.Confucius's time, teach lessons and polite, music, archery, royal, so not only review, and practice, to the actual operation."Learn by heart silently", stressed the importance of "knowledge", namely the remember, only remember on master consolidation."During, review" what is the

purpose?Although in order to "knowledge", in order to consolidate the learned knowledge, but do not forget the "new knowledge", only to have a new experience, new discovery, we achieve "温故" deeper purpose.Confucius also placed particular emphasis on "learning" and "thinking" combination, neither side, "learning without thinking is useless, and thinking for the study is dangerous", "science" is "thinking", "thinking" to "learn", the two

complement each other. In addition, Confucius also attaches great importance to refine on, "Ruqierucuo, such as cut, such as grinding" opposed to have a superficial knowledge of, tasted.

(two) of people

"I ten five and willing to learn, sanshierli, forty and perplexed, fifty and know destiny, at sixty, seventy and have whatever one's heart desires, without transgressing."This

statement roughly means: "when I was fifteen years old to study, thirty years to establish their own ideal, forty years is not for what I have done and confused, even when I know the natural law and rules, at the age of sixty no matter what you hear, don't think more, can understand it mean, and distinguish between truth and falsehood.Seventy years old my moral cultivation to a certain extent we can do what we like to do things, and not the laws rules."

In my opinion, this is a general roadmap, in these signs it. There are several important stages by Confucius important stressed out. Confucius said, "ten five and interested in learning", he is a starting point, is also a requirement for students.

One, with the correct attitude towards life.

In the life of every person is mentally handicapped and unpleasant, maybe we can not change the fact, but we can change our attitude to look at these things."The Analects of Confucius" of the essence, you tell us, how to use peaceful attitude to treat the shortcomings of life and suffering, one must first be able to correctly face the life of regret, don't dwell on the inside, ask you again and again asked, this can only relieve your pain.We should take a positive attitude and optimistic in the face of life.Only in this way.Our life will be more meaningful, more wonderful.

Love is love, respect people like love.

Modern people usually hope to get the love of others, get the respect of others. In modern society, some people can be tolerant, give our love to the society, it is worth learning, but some people do for me first, supercilious, nobody in the eyes, some people said something nasty, regardless of whether others will accept or not.If your heart is not others, is to respect others, especially in the life many unhappy people, suffering more than happy people, not easy to do extreme self-love, so we at any time to maintain a sincere heart, sincere praise of others, sincere to others, really accept the goodwill of others in Germany, to complain, justice in return for injustice, using Analects spirit guide our behavior.

"The Analects of Confucius" is the condensation of morality and wisdom, is be good at giving systematic guidance thought the teacher, is a map of our moral character, moral character cultivation mirror, let our life find their own direction, so that we in the way of modern life, a more art and wisdom, more of a cool and leisure, more a gift in life.

Through the "Analects of Confucius" learning, so I realized that the life "of the word, line of regret" as calm, to do the brave heart, to make life efficiency glow of light.Holding a heart, worthy, worthy person, always full of youthful spirit, enterprising spirit, the anger of the struggle, make your life more wonderful..

Confucius once said: "I must be born with knowledge, good old, earnest in seeking it." he said, was not born to understand a lot of things, just for the experience and much interested in, and keep learning. For this one information time, need to learn things very much. Now many children are not "fifteen to learn", probably in kindergarten, I began to learn it. But I think it is not necessarily useful, not necessarily in the future are useful for children. Confucius said: "learning without thinking is useless, die without learning is

perilous." to learn to think, to use advanced studies. Make yourself is to maximize the use of a learning way. In such a learning and thought of grounding and experience, constantly improve themselves, and slowly the sentiment, has been to Confucius said at the age of 30\

See "the Analects of Confucius" coarse, but is a Book of quotations from Chairman Mao ", and" no difference.Be careful to Confucius and his disciples, politics, philosophy, world outlook, philosophy of education, almost all the between the lines contained in the book of quotations."The Analects of Confucius" in the most common words, but is the doctrine of the mean, the gentleman, Liren.

"Analects of Confucius" doctrine of the mean is the most easily understood and the most difficult to achieve. The doctrine of the mean "to avoid leaning to either side, others take compromise attitude".This idea reflects the current residents of Beijing "could" culture. On the doctrine of literal understanding is: everything from Duode, always maintain neutrality. This is good, can avoid many unnecessary disputes, but excessive "could" can make a nation to sleep, the development of ancient China is a strong evidence. The doctrine of the mean of Confucianism for way, reflects the weakness of the Confucian school.

A gentleman is a deep sense of the word. From what I heard "jaw-jaw is better than", "silence is a gentleman", feel a gentleman like a dull person. In fact, the gentleman is Confucianism Confucius them a claim, is the ideal "mean".For example, "the", "go ahead of the rest of his pieces of bucket", embodies the qualities of a gentleman. And a relative of course is the villain, villain is not bad, but the quality is not a high."The Analects of Confucius" spend considerable lengths to say without mincing words that gentleman and small differences, such as the "gentleman villain often worried,", "the gentleman cooperate to do good deeds, man is not week".However, the material position often and the villain is far.Mao Zedong said: "the gentleman gentleman villain tired, be compassionate heart to save."Visible gentleman material life is so tragic!

Ritual, performance of Confucius to at that time social discontent.Confucius lived in the turbulent in the spring and Autumn period, states do not abide by the "Zhouli", make a group the atmosphere was foul.Confucius Ceremony is the core of "renown", namely "name is not correct, the word is not suitable; word is not suitable, then nothing will be accomplished; impossibilities, in addition to music is music; in addition, the punishments not; punishments not people, not knowing what to do".Confucius is committed to maintaining the three cardinal guides, put forward "Junjun, Chen Chen, father, son son".Therefore, when the doctor's "from season eight Yi dance in court", Confucius said angrily: "can I can't can also, cooked?"

Kernel, is Confucius ethics, which later became his student Mencius political ideas.Confucius considered "deny self and return to propriety, benevolence".Restrain oneself, follow the "gift", that there is "benevolence"."Benevolence", "people here love" refers to the Royal noble; respect the court aristocracy, "make", also shows that Confucius "Rites" to respect. In addition, Confucius also "benevolence" as a "person": "the benevolent, people standard."Guo Moruo in the "ten critical book" said: "this so-called Confucius benevolence, apparently it is conform to the trend of the liberation of slaves. This also is found."

Never frown, "Analects of Confucius" gone through two thousand spring and autumn, and not suitable for our present thought, it is the classic of classics.Classic never expired, we should critically inherit the traditional Chinese culture, keep "Analects of Confucius" to the socialist system service. In short, "the Analects of Confucius" is our reading classic, I suffer its role is very deep.
