自1994年夏天上映以来，迪斯尼推出的第32部经典动画电影《狮子王》席卷世界各地，在欧洲、拉美和非洲的20多个国家，成为历史上最受欢迎的英语影片。《狮子王》更是电影史上第一部进入票房排名前十名的动画电影，并保持过近十年电影史上动画电影的最卖座记录。

所以，本片不仅创造了票房上的巨大成功，也使很多人从观念上重新定义了动画电影，对美国动画、世界动画的发展具有重要的推动作用。由于电脑动画的诞生，影片又被公认为两维传统动画的巅峰之作，也是迪斯尼动画的最高成就的代表，在动画电影史上无疑拥有着举足轻重的地位。

1．人物原型分析

《狮子王》是迪斯尼号称的第一部原创动画电影，在这个发生在非洲大陆的故事当中，我们看到对爱、对责任、对生命、对成长的探讨，充满了一般动画电影少见的王者风范和史诗气派。

一谈起《狮子王》，大家都说影片的故事灵感主要来自莎士比亚名剧《哈姆雷特》等等。但是我们认为，从分析一部具有原创性的动画电影来说，概念性的将其中与某部经典原型相比较，得出其共性的思考路子，显得过于简单化了。其实，《哈姆雷特》也只是《狮子王》创作的一部分．而不是全部。那我们不仅要问，既然故事原型是《哈姆雷特》，那原创又在哪里呢?我们剥离整个电影的故事，还原其在最初创作中的元素的堆积，总结到以下的几个主要方面：

动物题材原型——“小鹿斑比”

我们从迪斯尼动画电影当中，尤其是改编经典童话、神话的创作当中看，改编手法最多的就是经典题材与动物题材的结合。动物题材的选择与动画发展有着息息相关的关系，在最初的迪斯尼动画中的((101忠狗》、《小姐与流氓》、《小飞象》、《小鹿斑比》等等，动画将童话特有的童趣色彩和梦幻感挖掘得淋漓尽致。到了20世纪90年代，迪斯尼进入了真正的复兴阶段，取代动物题材并以人为主角的童话、神话题材如《小美人鱼》、《美女与野兽》、《阿拉丁》等，艺术构思、美术创作能力、剧作等全面走向发展和成熟，使得这些影片在娱乐性、故事性、思想性等方面都取得了长足的进步，进入了一个成熟的创作阶段。

无论当时《狮子王》的主创者的创作初衷是怎么样，但是从现有的影片剧本本文来说，

有关动物的描绘埋藏着《小鹿斑比》的影子。l942年出品的《小鹿斑比》叙述了小鹿斑比的成长故事，是一部主题强调爱与温馨的作品，故事描述斑比从踉跄学步开始，他与森林伙伴们一起历经季节迭换、岁月变迁，在神奇的大自然里学习成长，但是当人类带枪闯入森林，屠杀他们的亲人、摧毁了他们的家园之后，斑比明白了只有爱才是抚平伤痕的惟一力量。影片对森林的和谐气氛以及对动物们的善良本性描写十分深入，故事里借可爱动物们的温馨扶持与相处，展现纯真童心及处处有爱的寓意。由此，我们可以发现《小鹿斑比》对于孩子成长的关注、对于孩子的结交朋友过程的描绘、对于亲情的刻画、对于森林的毁灭与重建、对于生与死的思考„·这些感人的元素，几乎都成为《狮子王》扣人心弦的重要因素。

辛巴的故事几乎就是斑比的翻版，虽然有很多的修改，但是从动物题材的角度来说，《狮子王》的选题更准，娱乐性更强，而且对于上述的几个方面的挖掘更加深入，体现了我们所说的“创作成熟”的特点。

人物原型设置——“摩西”的回归

分析《狮子王》中王子辛巴的遭遇，很多评论都是从《哈姆雷特》的角度来探讨的，毕竟整个故事的大框架当中，王子复仇以及与叔叔篡位等大的情节与《哈姆雷特》实在太相似了。但是，如果我们关注辛巴这个王子的心路历程，我们发现，辛巴形象的骨子里还有一个重要的人物原型要涉及，这个原型就是著名的埃及王子一一摩西。

读过《哈姆雷特》的读者知道，哈姆雷特回国后发觉自己的叔叔具有杀人篡位的嫌疑，随着鬼魂以及哈姆雷特演戏的隐射，谜底已经越来越明显，莎士比亚将剧本的中心聚焦在这个有些怯懦的人物内心当中。“生存还是死亡?”的名句也跟着哈姆雷特而深入人心。

而《出埃及记》当中的摩西原本养尊处优，由于知道自己的身世后发生意外杀人，而远走他乡，过一段和平安宁的日子后，听候上帝的感召，回埃及拯救受苦受难的同胞。在这里，摩西经历了贵族、罪犯、使者，最后到人民的救星的整个角色的变化。看完这个，我们就可以发现，这段人生的经历在辛巴身上得到了重演。所以，我们现在很清晰地发现，从辛巴这个人物的设置来说，他的人物角色的演变，更多的来自摩西的原型，整个故事围绕着人物在故事中的起起伏伏来做文章。

辛巴的回归与摩西一样，具有着救星的意味。尤其是这个“出走”和“回归”。《狮子王》的主创人员巧妙地与叔叔篡位的副线相结合，是影片剧本最为重要的情节点，扭转着影片的剧情发展。辛巴人物的塑造原型选择摩西，一方面，辛巴避免了哈姆雷特的过于怯懦与犹豫的气质；另一方面，辛巴又吸取了摩西经历的悲剧性，而且更加尖锐(死的是自己最亲的父亲)，使得辛巴与常规的动画形象(比如米老鼠、小飞侠、阿拉丁等)拉开了距离，被刻画得更加丰富，更加具有深度。

戏剧冲突原型——“哈姆雷特”的王位

读到《狮子王》的剧情方面，我们就不得不着重从《哈姆雷特》的角度探讨。《哈姆雷特》提供了一个具有激烈戏剧冲突的经典故事原型：叔叔的篡位使得家族关系分裂为敌我矛盾；王位代表着责任；复仇蕴含着战斗与抗争的高潮；王子的惆怅意味着人性的脆弱与无奈„„

如果照搬整个故事框架，将所有人物进行动物化，也未尝不可，迪斯尼的经典动画《妙妙探》、《罗宾汉》、《救难小英雄》、《小姐与流氓》走的就都是这样的故事套路——用动物讲述人的故事。但是本片的主创者显然没有这样“偷懒”，为了将这个动物版的“哈姆雷特”改编成一部石破天惊的动画史诗，大胆地吸取了其他的养分，进—步将故事素材重新整合，形成了现在这个相当成熟的经典大作。

为了适合动画的独特的艺术类犁，从这里的修整尤其是局部的修整可以看出主创者非凡的艺术造诣与动画修养。

1)首先，哈姆雷特的悲剧性基调被修整了。尤其在整个影片的基调上，主创者做了很大

的努力。影片一改《哈姆雷特》的压抑、悲伤、沉寂的忧郁基调，通过诙谐角色的出场、歌曲的穿插、色彩构图的营造等等方法减弱悲剧性，还加入了辛巴父子的亲情、辛巴与娜娜的爱情、辛巴与丁满彭彭的友情等元素，将整体悲剧性的基调合理地演变成一种具有史诗性的正剧基调。

2)其次，对动物题材的生发。既然从动物的角度入手，如果脱开了动物的身分去演绎就显得不够充分，所以前面论述的对《小鹿斑比》的重新整合是非常必要的。影片的视角更加的动物化，更加的具有生动性和可信性。

3)对主要人物的修整。除了将辛巴这个主人公重新演绎，还将其他的主要角色进行了调整，使得各种人物在具有非常鲜明个性的同时又不复杂，具备动画电影的人物设置要求：叔叔刀疤残酷阴险、娜娜善良勇敢、丁满敏感多嘴„·

4)对冲突段落的设置进行调整。《哈姆雷特》原著中，从哈姆雷特回国开始，他就发现了自己父亲离奇的死亡，在查明了叔叔的谋杀后展开复仇。矛盾冲突集中在王子的复仇上。而《狮子王》则顺序性地交代了叔叔篡位，以及辛巴出走与回归的过程，复仇成为影片的高潮阶段。戏剧呈现给观众的是矛盾冲突最尖锐的时刻，而电影，尤其动画电影要遵循“起承转合”的冲突以渐进方式展现故事。

5)最后，修改结尾。《哈姆雷特》是莎士比亚著名的四大悲剧之一，哈姆雷特最后的悲剧来源于自身性格，也来源于那个具有悲剧性的时代，戏剧悲剧性结尾振聋发聩。但改编到动画电影当中，这种悲剧性似乎有些不堪重负了，尤其在美国动画的艺术传统当中。影片用“生生不息”作结尾，体现了主创者高超的艺术构想和昂扬的思想，可以说，这个修改实在恰如其分，与整部影片相得益彰。

影片的成功来自诸多方面的有机整合，编剧对一个题材的挖掘和把握直接影响到影片的艺术水准和票房成绩。无论从哪个角度看，《狮子王》的“原创性”都是值得借鉴的。一方面，我们不应该只停留在经典巨著当中，这样只能作茧自缚，体现不出时代的特点，更发挥不出动画艺术的独特性；另一方面，这种出神入化“杂取种种，为我所用”的创作方式本身就值得我们仔细研究。

2．主题鲜明

毋庸置疑，《狮子王》在电影史上是一部举足轻重的动画电影。在这部动物版的《哈姆雷特》中，全部角色均为动物。片中的各种动物也大都采取人性化的描写，木法沙的王者之风，小辛巴的机灵活泼都给人以深刻的印象。

所以读解影片就像读解《哈姆雷特》一样，关注人物和人物的变化最为关键。而辛巴的命运又与主题息息相关，所以我们分解一下辛巴经历的几个阶段：

1)影片开始，辛巴还是个不知天高地厚，含着金汤匙出生的小狮王，他可以任性地说着自己的心声——“我等不及要成为国王”。

2)遭遇挫折，尤其是父亲的惨死，辛巴心里悲痛而内疚．他以为是自己害死了父亲。从这一刻，他从王子变成了一个“罪犯”，成为辛巴挥之不去的痛苦。

3)相遇的最为重要的朋友——丁满和彭彭。他们号召“生活要无忧无虑，不想过去，不想未来，也没有责任，只要为今天而活就可”的生活主张。渐渐地，辛巴也认为忘掉过去才是对的，选择无忧无虑的逃避生活。

4)在娜娜的来到、巫师的启发以及父亲深沉呼唤后，辛巴终于鼓起了勇气，去勇敢面对自己最艰难的挑战——克服了心中的恐惧和生命中的逆境，勇敢承担起自己的责任。

5)战斗。为了荣耀石的动物们，也为了自己，辛巴勇敢战斗。

6)新君王。最终辛巴成为真正的国王，完成了“生生不息”的生命接替，辛巴成为了如同他父亲一样的国王的同时，也成为一个新的父亲。

虽然，《狮子王》对于生命的探讨很真诚，尤其是作为一部动画作品，它已经恰如其分

地捕捉到原著的真正内核。《狮了王》的主题就是借由狮王木法沙和他的儿子辛巴，在森林王国里历经了生存、死亡等生命中的种种考验，从而在周而复始生生不息的自然中，体验出生命的真义。而“如何面对责任”则是影片主题中最为重要的精神内核。

辛巴从期待王位到放弃王位，再从逃避王位到争回王位，其中核心在于一个孩于在成长中真正理解责任的过程。影片中辛巴与娜娜相遇因为荣耀石而争吵，辛巴不愿意回去，不愿意面对家人、面对自己的错误、面对自己的内心。这时娜娜焦急的说道：“但是，这是你的责任啊!”影片剧本着重从辛巴的逃避到面对之间的心路历程来作为影片中最重要的纠葛冲突来表现，这个在以往的动画中是少见的，所以在这个意义上来说，影片在人物深度上的挖掘是值得称道的。

当辛巴选择勇敢去面对过去、面对自己的错误、面对责任以后，动物王国又重新恢复了平和与宁静。不久，娜娜和辛巴又有了小狮子。举行大典的这天，拉菲奇抱着小狮子来到国王崖上，将小狮子高高举起。立刻，所有的动物都发出了欢乐的吼声，向着狮子王国未来的统治者俯首跪拜„„

这时的“生生不息”让人感受到的是沉甸旬的份量，这在动画电影当中实在难能可贵。

3。台词精彩

影片的剧本是相当出色的，尤其是剧本当中的台词部分非常优秀，为影片增添了很多的精彩，如果有机会的话，可以直接看英文的原文，或者听它的原声英文对白，单词与句型不仅简单，而且还很生动。

电影剧本的台词是非常难写的，尤其是动画剧本的台词，拿捏的分寸相当难，过于正式的对话给人印象古板；过于放松的对话又很难把握，容易失控。所以一部好的动画电影，台词非常重要。《狮子王》为我们提供了一个非常能够说明问题的范例。

1)台词的情感内容——派沙祖护送娜娜回家后，狮王开始严肃地与辛巴谈话。辛巴很惭愧自己没有遵守规定，他说：“我只是想证明自己是一只勇敢的狮子。”“孩子，勇敢不是找麻烦。”“勇敢不就是无所畏惧吗?”“不，勇敢只是在需要的时候，我今天怕了。”“爸爸你怕什么?”“我怕今天失去你。”狮王说完，父子俩静静地仰望满天的繁星。木法沙温和地对辛巴说：“你看夜空中闪烁的星星，他们就是那些死去的国王们。有一天，我也会到那上面去的，但我将永远俯视着你，指引你生活的方向。”

2)台词的潜台词——刀疤低声咬牙切齿地回答说：“排在我前面的是小毛球!”说完，便无礼地转身离开了。他的潜台词就是“要不是辛巴的诞生，王位的继承人应该是我!”

3)台词与人物性格结合——木法沙奋力往上一跃，挣扎着紧紧攀住一块岩壁。他向突然出现在岩石上的弟弟刀疤求救：“刀疤，救救我!”可是，阴险的刀疤却冷冷地说了一声：“国王万岁!”接着，把国王木法沙推下了山谷。这里，刀疤为什么说“国王万岁”呢?其中一方面符合人物的阴险个性。和他的表里不一；另一方面说明他对于“国王”的耿耿于怀，才使他会做出篡位杀兄的可怕的事。

本片台词精彩的地方实在太多，不便一一提到，只能做一个简单的论述，还有很多方面，需要大家去细细品位。

4．典型的迪斯尼风格

虽然任短短的几年当中，《狮子王》的排名从“目前为止电影史上世界最卖座的动画电影”退居到“第二”。但是，作为一部动画电影，它可以当仁不让地成为一部真正意义上的经典大作。无论历史如何变迁，它一定会像影片中说的一样“在天空遥望着我们”，活在我们的心目当中。这部影片以其活泼可爱的卡通形象、震撼人心的壮丽场景、感人至深的优美音乐，以及其所描述的爱情与责任的故事内容，深深地打动了许多人。

The Mole had been working very hard all the morning, spring-cleaning his little home. First with brooms, then with dusters; then on ladders and steps and chairs, with a brush and a pail of whitewash; till he had dust in his throat and eyes, and splashes of whitewash all over his black fur, and an aching back and weary arms. Spring was moving in the air above and in the earth below and around him, penetrating even his dark and lowly little house with its spirit of divine discontent and longing. It was small wonder, then, that he suddenly flung down his brush on the floor, said Bother! and O blow! and also Hang spring-cleaning! and bolted out of the house without even waiting to put on his coat. Something up above was calling him imperiously. So he scraped and scratched and scrabbled and scrooged and then he scrooged again and scrabbled and scratched and scraped, working busily with his little paws and muttering to himself, Up we go! Up we go! till at last, pop! his snout came out into the sunlight, and he found himself rolling in the warm grass of a great meadow.
