One Is Such a Bad Number

Why is one such a bad number? It is because when the date has th is number in it, some bad thing always happens. Let me give you some examples. there midnight in Taiwan. the earthquake was very horrible. That night, there were about three thousand people that died in that accident. Many houses collapsed and the mountains moved.

America was attacked by terror is ts on September 11 th is year. the terror is ts crashed into America’s pentagon with an airplane. the terror is ts used airplanes to hit many tall buildings in America. there were bombs inside the buildings. When the airplanes hit the tall buildings, the tall buildings and the airplanes exploded. About six thousand people died. How terrible that is ! I think the terror is ts were crazy. People say that the American emergency number is 911, so the terror is ts chose September 11 to attack America. there was a big typhoon on July 11 th is year in Taiwan. It’s name was Toraji. Many cities were flooded. Some people died because of landslides. these dates all th is "one" number. I really don’t think "one" is a good or lucky number. So we have to be careful on dates with th is number

)My Happiest Day

Today is Friday. It is my thirteenth birthday. I got up very early in the morning and put on my new clothes happily. My parents bought me the new clothes as my birthday presents. I went to school earlier than before. I invited many of my classmates to come to my birthday party in the evening. Evening came at last. Many of my classmate came to my home. they bought me lots of beautiful presents. they all said,"Happy birthday to you!" We sang birthday songs happily.then my parents brought out a big birthday cake, saying, "We love you for ever. Happy birthday!"

At the end of the party, we ate the birthday cake and some other delicious food. How happy I was! Let’s Repair It Together!

It was Monday. I got up very early and was the first to come to the classroom. When I came to my desk and was going to sit down, I found my chair was broken. What could I do? At that

time no one was around. I quickly changed my chair with Li Ming’s and sat down to read the book as if nothing had happened.

My classmates came in one after another. After a while, Li Ming came. When he found his chair was broken, he tried to repair it. I didn’t say a word but my face turned red. Soon I ran to the teacher’s office and brought back a hammer. I said to I.i Ming, "Let’s repair it together."

(3) An Unforgettable Holiday

I am ’always busy with my lessons. What I have to do everyday is nothing but study.

Luckily, last summer my family went to my uncle’s farm.We enjoyed a really interesting holiday. During the holiday, I didn’t have to get up early, nor did I need to finish many exercises. I rode the horse in the fields. I milked the cows on the farm. To my GREat joy, my uncle invited me to go fishing. Life on the farm is quite different from that at school. I want to go back to spend my summer holiday again.

It was Sunday. Our teacher Mr Zhu led us to a park nearby.Usually we go to the park to spend our holiday. But today we went there to take part in voluntary labour.

We got there at nine o’clock. Mr Zhu divided us into three groups and then we began working. the students in Group One planted trees and watered flowers. the studentsin Group Two were busycollecting litter left by the tourist. they also cleaned the benches in the park. I was in Group Three. We went to the children’s playground and cleaned all the equipment there. We worked very hard.

At about eleven we finished working. We met at the gate of the park. We all felt tired but very happy.

(5) A Sunset

the sunset is very beautiful and lovely. Its scene is as wonderful as a sunrise but it is even more beautiful to watch it in the country than in the city.

When the sun begins to set behind the mountains, its long rays light up the GREen fields. the clouds in the sky also begin to glow with a golden light, and the mountains are really colourful. When the sun begins to set behind the mountain, it looks like a red ball. Its light fills the sky and changes the colour of the clouds from gold to red. When the sun is gone altogether behind the mountain, the clouds turn GREy and the mountains become black.

then you cannot help admiring the wonder of nature.

第一周

I must change

This is the first day of the second term. When I went back to my familiar school ,I found that everything was so energetic that I even felt I should do something to change myself.

It’s time for me to make change, I know.

But what can I do for it ? First , I make a plan, which include what I want to do in three years. Second, I asked many seniors for advice. When they known that I want to make my university more colorful, all of them were willing to giving me suggestion. Finally, of course, I must take action bit by bit!

As a college student, a university may be founded for us. We may study for many years with the advantages of learning. I want to change, I must change!

第二周

Today I am told to sing a song with one of my classmates. I can’t decide to choose which song to sing. I like singing but when I sing English songs, I’m very nervous because I don’t often sing English songs. In my impression, my spoken

English is not very standardized. But there is a common saying says: A penny saved is a penny earned. So I think if I practice more and more, I will speak it well.

It is a sunny day today, so I’m very happy to see the sunshine. Yesterday I felt cold but today I feel much better.

I think the English class given by English teacher has much difference with those given by Chinese teacher. The Chinese teachers attach importance to the grammar but English teachers attach importance to speaking and new words. So I like to learn here.

第三周

On the way to the classroom, beautiful scenery went in my sight. Both sides of the road stood plenty of trees, green and tall. When raising my head, I got a view of many lovely birds flying freely in the blue sky. Then I was lost in thought.

How much I wished I were a bird, which could go wherever it wanted and do whatever it liked. Impossible as it was, I still felt very happy, for I was a man who had the ability to imagine and enjoyed the happiness it brought!

As I walked on slowly, a bright simile bloomed on my face.

第四周

Today we saw a movie at noon and in the afternoon. It’s name suggested that it was a horrific one, but it wasn’t horrific at all. We finished watching at 5:30pm, and walked to our dormitories when we got there, it was 6:00. we had our dinner as quickly as we could and then rushed to the classroom. I’ve never been in such a hurry! In the afternoon we acted. We watched to a short play for three times and

the teacher asked us to act. It was a little difficult, because we couldn’t remember all the sentences by watching the play for three times. We tried to remember

something. Though the play had been changed a little, it was still very good we all acted very well. The teacher also gave some group prizes. Though my group hadn’t hot once, I didn’t mind.

There is one thing that made me very happy. One of my classmates said

“happy birthday ” to me by sending a message. Though it was late, I still felt happy.

第五周

My Hometown

My hometown is very big. I am going to show you around my hometown.

First, here is my house. I live in a small house, we have a garden. My mother grows vegetables and flowers in the garden.

Outside the garden the garden is a bus stop. It takes about twenty minutes to get to the nearest town. There are lots of buildings there. There is a shopping mall, a youth center and a cinema. There is also a park near the center of the town. My favorite place is the youth center. I often go there with my friends after school. There are lots of things to do there and I am always busy.

I like going into town on my bicycle. The town is near the sea. I sometimes go swimming in summer when it’s warm and sunny. There is not much pollution in the town because cars cannot go into the center of the town.

I have lots of friends here: I think it’s a wonderful place to live in. I hope you can come and visit it soon.

第六周

In the morning, we see a new friend. Although I don’t know his name, I meet him. He is handsome. Later we make up some short plays and my group also show our play. Our story talks about a magician helping some fishes. And we got No.1. In the afternoon, we play a game. It is so much fun!

Although the class is still boring, I think, in our life, we still can find some

happiness!

第七周

At weekends we have no lessons, but we have many interesting activities.

On Saturday afternoon, we watched the movie Forrest Gump in the classroom. It’s a good movie. It’s very moving, sad and happy. You can learn a lot from the movie. Forrest is stupid but he’s also very clever.

On Sunday we had singing contest. I am one of the contesants. My song’s name is One Love. It’s a song of Blue, a British music group. I went into the “Final Seven”. But other contestants were really excellent. I didn’t get any prizes. Another contestant from our class called Candy was the third-place winner. Congratulations to her! Though I didn’t get prizes, I was very happy. I tried my best.

Chance【高中英语周记真实】

Every now and then, people complain they just miss the chance again and again. They may feel depressed for a long time, thinking luck will never bless them.

However, as a matter of fact, chances just exist around us. It’s no use waiting for the next chance or regretting having missed a chance. It is not whether there still are chances for you but your being ready for the chances which are on the way that really matters. Therefore, we should make full use of time. Only in this way can we keep calm when facing difficulties. And then we can catch the chance and enjoy the happiness it brings.

Better food, better life

In current society, people have known the importance of keeping healthy. In the past, people ate three meals at home, and they eat more vegetables and less meat and fish. They were very strong and seldom went to see doctors.

Now life is better, people eat more meat, fish, eggs, and other food with more fat. They often go out for good meals with their families and friends. But they easy to be ill, why?

I think more meat and fish, less exercise are bad for health. Good rest, less meat and fish, more exercise are good for health. So I exercise every day. My eating

英语微型周记对促进高中学生英语学习的案例研究

摘 要：针对高中学生写作困境，简要探索如何利用微型周记巩固学生所学知识，提高学生英语学习兴趣和促进师生情感交流，综合提高学生写作技能等。

在目前的高中英语教学中，写作是老师与学生都十分头痛的问题。学生面对考试作文短短100多字的要求，常常觉得无从下手。究其原因，是学生英语基础的问题，但更重要的是许多老师放弃在高一、高二年级让学生从事日常的写作训练，而是将学生的写作训练集中到考试前，盲目依赖背诵模版等“速成法”，这种方法虽然有一些成效，但是对今后长期的写作是不利的。

建构主义理论认为，学生应该是知识意义的主动建构者，而非外部刺激的被动接受者；教师应该是学生主动建构知识意义的帮助者而非知识的灌输者。因而，我们在写作教学中应该“以学生为中心”，教师的角色由知识的传授者、灌输者转变成为学生主动建构语言的帮助者和促进者。

笔者认为，练习写作的目的除了巩固所学知识，提高写作能力以外，学生应从中体会到表达的乐趣，使英语学习成为一种创造性的活动。因此，笔者尝试让同学从高一年级便开始写英语周记。这项作业不仅锻炼了学生的写作能力，而且提高了学生英语学习的兴趣。许多学生很喜欢完成这项作业，而且越写越有劲，越写越精彩。此外，教师可以通过周记的批改，了解到学生的动向和脉搏，加强师生间的情感沟通，也不失为是一种意外收获。

一、巧用英语周记，巩固所学知识

在写周记之前，学生对所学知识的巩固主要是依靠死记硬背。这个过程通常是被动的，有的时候仅仅是为了应付考试和老师提出的默写要求。但是，在提出周记写作要求之后，在老师的指导下，学生会在周记中尽量多地使用新学到的单词、词组、句型等。以下这个案例就说明了这一点。

内容：Module 3 Unit 1 The world of our senses

主要词汇：anxious，confuse，frightened，aid等

词组：be anxious about，come to one’s aid， lose one’s way等

周记一:高一开学第一周周记
不知不觉，自己已经在hg学习了一个星期了，感觉时间过的太快了。。。
虽然自己已经是hg学生了，但是仍然有点不大相信，想想自己初3的时候，有多么渴望进hg，正是因为有了hg这目标，自己才更努力的学习，现在，自己考上了这里，却有点害怕。高一开学第一周周记。。。
早就预料到在hg尖子很多，但是，真正来到这里学习才害怕起来。就拿第1次的语文作业来说吧!老师一布置下来，自己就茫然了，我根本不会写散文，

本以为开学将会是一个温暖的的初春，殊不知却依旧同严冬般寒冷，竟下起了雪。整周都没见到太阳，阴沉沉的，就像一个学生对假期的依依不舍，些许的失落……

这个星期我们寒假作业检测的成绩下来了，我考得并不理想，在初中的时候，对假期的作业检查并不是很严格，很多学生都是把答案抄上了事，看来假期作业也是不能小看的呢，以后要自己认真的做才行。

这个学期的时间只有短短的三个月，因为六月会有以高考为首的各类考试需要占用教室，所以教学的时间被缩短了一个月，这无疑加快了教学进度，在这短短的三个月内，要在掌握好新知识的同时复习上学期的课程，补缺补漏，抓住这个学期宝贵的时间提高成绩才行，到了高二就来不及了。

让我感到高兴的是，这学期的数学教的是设计程序的基础——算法，这可让我兴趣大增。上次朋友翻唱歌曲要录音，由于系统自带录音机限制时间，所以要计算好歌曲时间再用“减速”来延长录音时间，这不就是个算法吗?于是我分析了算法，设计出了程序……

同样有趣的还有美术学科，上个学期我们只是单纯的美术鉴赏课而已，这学期我们就要自己动手创作啦，第一节课老师介绍了下中国画的工具和材料等，让我们班级自己去购买材料以备下节课上使用，真是期待呢，可惜要等到第三周才能大展身手，不过第二周的音乐课学的也是创作，在紧张的学习中穿插点艺术课还真是必要的呢。

这周上了六天课，很累，虽然只是短短的六天，不过这学期可是已经过去十二分之一了呢，真得抓紧时间好好学习提高成绩了。
