The inevitable consequence is stifled imagination, staled thoughts and numbed senses, and we are doomed to become a group of bigoted scholars responsive only to impersonal dogmas. Extracurricular activities actually expose you to a world full of new experiences. You get to know people, visit places and develop skills. Through excursions and parties, social investigations or community work, you gradually are molded into a sociable extrovert receptive to new ideas with a wide prospective.

In conclusion, extracurricular activities are an essential in that it ensures a more satisfying existence, both physically and mentally.

People hold different opinions about how students spend their college days, but they share a common view that college life should be varied and colorful. Extracurricular activities make up a important part of college life, which is indispensable in college life.

To begin with, extracurricular activities enable us to build a strong body .As the proverb says, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Without good health, we cannot improve our study efficiency and make great achievements in academic studies. On the other hand, outside-class activities help us to develop teamwork spirit. (一)写作题的性质

Nowadays fewer and fewer students pay attention to their word-spelling. According to a recent survey, there is a dramatic increase in the number of students who can only imitate the pronunciation of a word but be incapable of spelling it. In this essay I will discuss the factors of this phenomenon and offer my own view on it。

There are a number of factors can be accountable for this situation. One of the most common factors is that fewer and fewer students need to write English essays. Besides, the goal of most students to learn English is to speak it and pass the examination which means they just need to select the similar words according to the listening materials and passages. Perhaps the most

contributing factor is the wide use of electronic devices such as e-dictionaries and computers and students no longer need to correct the words by

themselves。

As far as I’m concerned, I firmly argue that we need to attach great
