What can we do for the environment?

We live on the earth, it is our home, but nowadays our environment is becoming worse and worse. I think the environmental problem is one of the most serious problems in the world, so we should try our best to protect the environment. I think everyone can do a little bit to help this problem. The first thing we can do is to use cloth bags instead of plastic bags when we go shopping, so we reduce white pollution. The second thing we can do is to reuse the old textbooks as possible as we can and we should use both sides of the paper so that we can save trees. We should never forget to turn off the lights when we leave the rooms and if we don’t use the computers or watch televisions, don’t leave them on. It’s a good way to save electricity and energy. It’s better to walk or ride a bike to school and we should ask our parents to drive less in order to reduce pollution. We know air pollution does harm to all the living things. We can also collect reusable waste, such as paper glass and metal, they can be recycled. It’s a good idea to plant some trees every year.

In fact, even the simplest everyday activities can make a real difference to the environment. Though we are young we can still do something to help. I believe if everyone thinks about pollution and recycling the future is hopeful, and we can make the world a better place to live in.
