Grammar(语法点)
1.用What do/does your _____do? 来对他人家庭成员的职业进行提问。 例如:--What does your uncle do?(你叔叔是干什么的?)
--My uncle is a firefighter. He fights fires.(我叔叔是消防员。他灭火。)
2.一般疑问句:(以yes或no来回答句子。)
A. 有“be”动词
例如:--Is your aunt a secretary?(你阿姨是秘书吗?)

(是的,她是。) / (不,她不是。她是邮递员。)
B. 没有“be”动词

2.让学生了解如何介绍自己的家庭成员。。

4.让学生理解询问职业的句型。
【教学重点和难点】
教学重点
1.掌握一些与介绍家庭成员有关的词汇:family,mother,father,brother,sister.
2.掌握以下重点句子:What does she do? She is driving a bus. Look at this photo. She is walking to school.
教学难点
激发学生兴趣,让学生运用所学知识介绍自己的家庭成员。

【教学准备】录音机,图片
【课型】新授课
【教学过程】
Step1:Lead-in
Lead-in by discussing the following questions:
1. How many people are there in your family?
2. What does Jenny’s mother do?
3. What does Jenny’s sister do?
Discuss the questions in groups.The teacher shows some picturesof different jobs, such as bus driver,teacher,worker,students,policeman.
Ask the students to talk about them for three minutes,and then let them present their resultsin class.
Step2:Listening
Listen to the tape and find the answers to the questions:
1.What is Mary Smith doing? 2. What does Bob do? 3.What is Lynn doing now? Finish the task in class orally.
Step3:Reading
Read the Part 2 of the lesson and answer the following questions:
1. What is Jim Smith doing? 2.What does Jenny do?
Finish the task in class orally.
Step4:Activities
1.Greet with friends in grous.Make up a dialogue between three or four students.Then present it in front of the class.The following sentences can be used:
Can you tell me your family members?
What do they do?
2.Wait for several minutes,and let some groupsact out their dialogues in front of the class.
Step5:Write a short note
Suppose you are going to introduce your family members to us.Write a short note and member to tell their names and jobs.
Practice for a while.Then some students read their notes in front of the class. Step6:Come to “Let’s Do It!”.
Listen to the tape and finish Exercise1 together. Read Part 2 of the lesson again and finish Exercise2
Work in groups and finish Exercise 4.
Step7:Homework
1.Finish Exercise 3 in “Let’s Do It!”.
2.Finish exercises in the activity book.

B.重点句型:
1. 谈论家庭成员的职业,并能用英语表达每种职业所做的事情。 e.g. What does your mother do? 你妈妈的职业是什么?
She is a secretary. She types letters. 她是秘书。她打字。
(要求背诵P12,13的句子。)
2. 学会使用频率词:always, uasally, sometimes, never.
为了帮助学生更牢固地掌握这些词的用法,我们用一首歌来概括其主要区别,学生大多能唱熟这首歌。(用《两只老虎》的旋律) 歌词如下:

(1)能背诵并用简单的句子复述故事<The Two Brothers>。
(2)对自己将来要从事的职业有一个初步的设想,能用句子 What do you want to be? Why? 和同学谈论将来职业的话题。 建议:
多听录音多模仿, 多背诵,多积累,平时多用英语进行口头对话。 3
