Key vocabulary and phrases: friend, teacher, father, mother, This is…, meet, time, go, now, bye, tomorrow.

2. Be skilled in oral expression of introducing someone to others.

Ⅳ Teaching aims:

1. Function: Introduction of friends and family members.

2. Listening: Students can understand others’ introduction of someone.

3. Speaking: Students can introduce their friends and family members to others.

4. Reading: Students can understand the similar dialogue of introducing others.

5. Writing: Students can write the introduction of their friends and their family members.

Ⅴ Teaching Procedures:

Part I: Lead in:

Step 1: Review the greeting phrases in the previous period by having the whole class play the dialogue in real situation.

Step 2: Ask students to introduce themselves to the class.

Part II: Vocabulary study:

Step 1: Play the recording and have them point out the words and phrases in Activity 1.

一、Language points

1.This is Miss Zhou. 这是周老师。

（1）这是一个介绍他人的常用句型，“这是„„”。如果介绍距离我们较远的人，则用That is .../That’s... ,“那是„„”。如：This is my friend , Daming.这是我的朋友，大明。 That is Mr Wu. 那是吴先生。

（2）this 指示代词，“这个”，指较近的人或物。This is 没有缩写形式。That 指示代词，“那个”， 指较远的人或物。That is 的缩写形式是That’s.

(3) This is...的其他用法：(A) This is +名词，表示某物品。如：This is an apple.这是一个苹果。(B) This is ...用于电话用语中，“我是„„”如：Hello! This is Lingling.

She’s 是She is 的缩写形式, “她是„„”。 He’s是He is 的缩写形式, “他是„„”。 如：He’s my father.他是我的父亲。

3. Hello, Tony, nice to meet you. 你好，Tony, 见到你很高兴。

(1) 这是两人初次见面的问候语。其答语：Nice to meet you，too.

(2) nice adj.形容词，“好的，不错的，令人满意的”。如：This is a nice book.这是一本好书。

(3) meet v.动词，“遇见，会见，接见，见面”。如：Let’s meet in the park.咱们在公园见吧。

4.It’s time to go now.现在到了该走的时间了。

（1）It’s time for sth. / It’s time to do sth.“该做某事了，到了做某事的时候了”. Eg: It’s time for school. / It’s time to go to school.到了该上学的时候了。

(2)time n.名词，“时间”。 What’s the time ?/ What time is it?几点啦？

5. See you tomorrow. 明天见。

（1）这是非正式告别语，常用在家庭成员内部、熟人好友之间。还有: See you later.一会儿见。See you then.到时候再见。 See you next week.下周见。

(2)see v.动词“看见”。Eg: I can see him.我能看见他。

6. be动词的三种形式：(顺口溜)我(I)用am，你(you)用are，is用于它(it)，他(he)，她(she)。单数is，复数are. be动词一般和主语缩写为’m, ’s, ’re. 但是，this is 没有缩写形式。 Eg: I am —I’m she is —she’s you are —you’re My name is —My name’s

7. 字母和音标：R r [a：] S s[es] T t [tⅰ:] U u [ju：] V v [vⅰ:] W w [d bl ju：] X x [eks] Y y [w a I] Z z [zed]

提示：大写字母都占上中格，小写字母r s u v w x z占中格，t 占上中两格，y占中下格。英语中，字母和单词的书写应当注意占格，句子的书写应当注意大小写和标点符号。

在26个英语字母中，有5个元音字母：A a [eI] E e [ⅰ:] I i [a I ] O o [ u] U u [ju：]

二、Exercises. I． 写一写，练一练。
