教学年级:高一 课题名称:模块I Unit 1 Lesson 1 A Perfect Day (第1课时)

教材版本:北师大版

授课时间:1课时(45钟)

一、学生分析

学生刚刚从初中毕业进入高中阶段学习,学习英语的兴趣大,课堂较为积极、活跃,课堂气氛较好。经过三年的初中学习,已具备一定的阅读能力。因此,在设计这堂课时,要着重从激发学生的兴趣出发,循序渐进引导学生理解课文,掌握一定的阅读技巧,然后让学生就所学话题进行讨论,让他们从讨论中有所启迪。

二、教材内容分析

本节课课型属阅读课,其内容包含以下三方面:

I. Before you start (读前) 1、先向学生呈现几幅图片以熟悉第8页的 key words,然后以“What are your favorite kinds of TV programme? 导出本课的话题之一: To discuss favorite TV programmes and daily activities. 让学生借助key words尽量来讨论交流。

2、让学生看课本第8-9页的两幅图片,预测这两幅图上的人有着什么样的生活方式?学生可以使用课本第7页上的单词作为引导。

II. Read to learn (读中)

1.Fast-reading

1) 学生快速阅读课文,检查自己的预测。 2) 根据教材上所设计的两个问题(Exercise3)的要求,将相应的信息划出来。

2.Intensive reading 1) 就两篇短文设计几个问题引导学生回答,让学生对课文内容细节有所理解。

2) 请学生就这两个人的生活方式作一比较,找出各自的优点和缺点,并说出自己的理由,这是在理解课文的基础上作一拔高,是对课文的概括。

III. Voice your opinion / Homework (读后 )

此部分设计了两个开放性题目,鼓励学生把课文中所学到的与现实生活相结合,分组讨论。

三、教学目标

本课的教学目标,我从三个方面确定:

(一)知识目标:To learn some words and phrases.

(二)能力目标:To discuss favorite TV programmes and daily activities. To read two texts for specific information.

To write a short article,using what the students learnt in this period.

(三)道德目标:To help the students discuss what is a healthy and active lifestyle.

四、教学重点与难点 1. Teach the passages as a whole: make the Ss understand and grasp the general idea of each passage as a whole. 2. Thinking of the healthy lifestyles in our daily life and how to improve our lifestyles.

六、教学过程

Step 1 Warm-up 1. The teacher presents several pictures to make the students get familiar with the key words in exercise1. Ask the students the question: What are your favorite kinds of TV programme? Why?

2.Ask the Ss to look at the two pictures on page 8-9. and predict what will be talked about in the article based on the pictures. The following questions will be presented: What kind of lifestyle do you think the man in a couch potato? Do you ever watch too much TV? How much time do you spend watching TV every day? What kind of lifestyle do you think the man in the second text?

Step 2 Reading

1. Fast-reading

Play the tape for the students to listen to the text and try to finish the following 3 tasks.

1).Underline the TV programs that Brian usually watches.

2).Underline the kinds of work Bob does every day.

3).Guess the meaning of the titles, “Couch Potato ” and “Workaholic” 意图:

1、这一部分培养学生的快速理解关键词语和预测的能力,帮助学生理解课文。

2、通过听课文进行有声输入,整体感知 , 培养学生语感。

2. Intensive reading

Task 1: (Pair work) Ask and answer questions about the passage “A Couch Potato”. The following questions are for reference.

1)When does Mr Biakey get up?

a) Does he get up immediately after waking up?

b) What does he do lying in bed awake?

c) When does he really get out of his bed?

2) What does he do after getting up?

Does he do something else? If not , where does he stay watching TV and what program does he watch?

3) He also watches TV in the afternoon, doesn't’t he? What program does he watch?

4) What does he do in the evening?

Task 2:

(Pair work) Talk about the lifestyle of Mr Black. The following questions are for reference.

When does he get up ?

What’s his response when he hears the alarm of the clock? How does he go to work? And when does he get to the office? What are his daily jobs? Does he have time for his personal affairs? When? Does he do some work before going to bed?

What does he think of his life and what about you?

Task 3: (Group work) Compare the lifestyle of the two persons, find out the advantages and disadvantages for each of them. Say which one you prefer and give your reasons. If you would prefer neither, also give your reasons.

Step 3.Voice your opinion

Discuss Question 6 on P.8 in pairs or groups, then get some of them to report their results of their discussion to the whole class.

Step 4 Homework

1. Review new words and phrases

2. Do the Ex.10. Describe your parents' lifestyles to your partner by working in pairs and then write it down.

意图:

Step3、4是学生将课本信息转换成自己的语言的过程,引导学生用自己的语言谈论“什么是一个健康的生活方式?”培养学生的交际能力。这是对语言的进一步拓展。

七、教学设想

1、 这节课的设计思路主要是通过“情景导入,循序渐进,整体把握” 和新课标所提倡的“以教师为主导,学生为主体”的教学理念为依据。

2、本节课以阅读为主线,加强听说训练,最后落实在写作上。听说读写均有兼顾,重点在阅读能力的培养。

3、课堂教学努力通过各种措施激发学生兴趣,加强学生合作探究学习。

4、最后,设计了让学生谈论自己和父母的哪一种生活方式才是健康的生活方式,这一环节将本节课内容的语言输出部分进行总结,这也是本节课的重点。

[教材分析]

本课为北师大版高中英语必修一第一单元第一课。本单元主题为lifestyles”,而本节课主要任务是阅读题为A Perfect Day的文章,本文介绍了我们日常生活中的两种不同的基本生活方式---懒人生活和工作狂生活。本课时是本单元的第一课时,课型是阅读型课,也希望通过对这节课的学习能够启发学生应该拥有健康的生活方式和如何拥有健康的生活方式。本篇文章在本单元中占有重要地位。通过对本篇文章的学习,学生能够提高他们的阅读能力,并掌握如何用英语表达生活习惯,这对本单元后面围绕这个主题所开展的听说读写很重要。

[学情分析]

他们是刚刚升入高中的学生,因为三年的初中基础,他们已经具有一定的英语语言基础和思辨能力,绝大多数同学对英语学习兴趣较为浓厚,好奇心及学习动机也比较强。但是,在英语口语交际能力方面,由于英语口语基础薄弱,课上又害怕开口说英语,缺乏自信心,所以口语交际能力相对较弱,因此教师应当时刻鼓励学生利用每个机会说英语,以达到锻炼口语的目的。另外,高一学生对于阅读策略如skimming and scanning的运用还很欠缺,老师需要充分利用课堂时间对此进行针对性的指导和训练

[教学目标]

根据新课标的课程理念,我从知识与能力、过程与方法、情感态度价值

观这三个方面确立以下三个目标:

1、知识与能力目标::让学生学习并掌握本课的重难点词汇及词组;让

学生掌握skimming and scanning这种阅读技能,让他们能够快速从文章中提取有效信息;让学生通过对本文的学习能够运用所学语言知识用自己的话描述他人或者自己的生活方式。

创造性思维能力和口语表达能力,培养学生学习能力;通过自主学习、合作交流,体会自主与合作的过程方法。

3、情感态度价值观:通过对本篇课文的学习,让学生了解日常生活中的

[教学重、难点]

1.本课的教学重点是让学生掌握与描述生活方式相关的一些名词和常用

动词,例如与懒人生活方式有关的名词词汇a couch potato, sports programmes, TV series, films等,动词switch on/ off /over, get up lately而工作狂的生活方式有关的词汇如a workaholic, office, meetings,动词take up, fill with, bring back等和提高快速提取文章信息的能力---skimming and scanning

2.本课的教学难点是让学生通过对本文的学习能够运用所学语言知识用

自己的话描述他人或者自己的生活方式。比如:描述父亲的生活方式,My father works in a company. He goes to work early in the morning and comes home very late in the evening.等

《高中英语课程标准》明确提出要倡导学生主动参与、交流合作、探究发现等多种学习活动,着手提高学生用英语获取信息、处理信息,以及用英语进行思维和表达的能力。在这种新的教育理念的指导下,本次阅读课教学中我主要采取了任务型教学法,让学生带着问题去阅读和思考文章,这样目的在于让同学们在阅读的过程中能够有的放矢、思路清晰,从而提高阅读效率。而通过本篇文章的学习通过对本篇课文的学习,让学生了解日常生活中的两种不同的基本生活方式的存在---懒人生活和工作狂生活的存在,也希望通过对这节课的学习能够启发学生拥有健康的生活方式的重要性和拥有健康的生活方式的方法。另外,教学内容多样,可能和教学时间之间会出现矛盾,比如教学过程中的词汇解析部分,由于本堂课主要是阅读课,为此就以生词略为认识来扫除阅读障碍为主,无需仔细分析讲解,否则不仅会影响教学进度,还会冲淡主体知识教学。

This is a reading text which focuses on the language skills. I plan to finish it in two periods. In this period (the first period), I pay full attention to reading comprehension. I give them several questions and encourage them to find the answers from the text by themselves. And I also let them guess the meaning of the new words and check them in the text , which help them understand better and strengthen memory. In the next period ,I

will pay attention to the difficulties of language and grammar.

Step 1: lead-in

1) Ask students what they have done in the holiday, have they watch too much TV programs,

which TV programs they watched for the most time. Have they stay up late till midnight. 2) Do they think their normal holiday is a perfect day?

Step 2: pre-reading

1) Ask students to think about why we have a question mark after “a perfect day”

2) Ask students to look at the pictures on the textbook then ask them to answer the following

1).Ask students to read the text carefully, and then ask them to list certain issues Brian and Bob do in certain time every day according to the blanks below. 2). Ask students to think over the question:

a) Why does Brian can live this life style? b) Why does Bob try to work so hard?

Step 4: Post reading

1) Teacher explains the meaning of “You’ve got the world at you feet and in your hand”, then

Ask students to look at the pictures again, then ask them to do group discussion to persuade Brian and Bob.(in group of 4)

a) If you are the lovely dog of Brian, what do you want to say to your master?

If you are Brian’s wife, what you want to say to you husband? b) If you are Bob’s kids or wife, what do you want to say? 2) Ask students to give several useful advice for Brian and Bob.

Step 5: Conclusion

Both Brian and Bob lead an unhealthy lifestyle, Brian’s is too lazy and addicted to relaxation, he chooses to watch too much TV program and he becomes a coach potato. While Bob is addicted to do his work and pay no attention to every other thing including his family. So they are unhealthy and their life should be balanced. All in all, we should alternate work with rest and love our family members so as to keep a balanced healthy life.

Step 6: Homework

Ask students to write a composition at least 80 words. Students can choose any topic of the followings
