第一幕
舞台背景:巨人的花园
孩子说跳着上场
Child1: It’s a sunny day. Let’s play games here.
Others: (Cheering, 欢呼) Hurrah, ha ha.
(做拍手、钻山洞等游戏20秒左右)
Child 2 (跑近其他人)(作夸张状): Hey, boys, there’s a big garden. So many flowers there. Let’s go inside.
Child 3&4 (作紧张状): No, no, no! Don’t do that! That’s Giant’s Garden. He’s so tall and strong.(一边解释一边夸张地比划高度) He doesn’t like someone else going inside his garden.
(其他孩子作叹气状)
Child 2: But now, there’s no one in the garden. Shall we play there for a while?
(其他孩子互相看看,作思考状)
Child 2: Let’s go and have a look.
(在花园门边探头,作小心谨慎、战战兢兢状)
Child 2:There’s no one inside.
Others: (窃喜状)
(慢慢都蹑手蹑脚摸进花园)
慢慢地放开手脚,开心地在树丛、花丛中嬉笑玩闹起来(欢快的音乐起) 第二幕
(欢快的音乐戛然而止,巨人出场)
Giant:I’m Giant. I am back from a friend's home.
(进了院门,一眼就看见在花园中戏耍的孩子们。他粗声粗气地吼叫:) What are you doing in my garden?
Children: The stingy giant is back.(边说边害怕的跑掉)
Giant: The garden is mine. I must, must build a high wall around the garden. No strangers here.(巨人筑围墙)
(Giant exits.巨人下。)
(The four children enter.四个孩子上。)
Child 1: We can no longer go and play in garden. Child 2 : We can only play on the road or in the street, lots of dust and stones there.
(四个孩子来到围墙外徘徊。)
Child 3: The garden now must be very beautiful, but we can’t see. Child 4: If we can play in the garden, we will be happy.
(鸟儿上。)
Bird: (无精打采的说) Spring is coming. Here and there outside the garden, flowers are blooming.
Child 1: We played in the garden last year, now we don’t know what it is like inside.
Bird: Here,the giant’s garden is still in winter.
Child 2: Will you and your fellow birds still sing in the trees?
Bird: Since the children aren’t in the garden, I don’t sing. Look, the flowers forget to bloom. Here is a world. of snow and frost.【The,giantsgarden】

巨人上
Giant: Now, my garden is full of ice and snow, and north wind is also here howling. It’s too cold in my garden.(四处张望) Why doesn’t the spring come?(看花园) I hope the weather will be fine soon.
Bird: There is only winter in the garden!
(巨人坐着靠在一棵树上,睁眼望着天空,沉思。)
第三幕
(一个小孩来到围墙外,通过墙洞偷偷的看花园内,自言自语)
Child 1: Maybe the giant isn’t at home . I really want to play in the garden. (转身招呼小伙伴) Hey, come here! let’s play in the Giant’s garden. The giant isn’t in now.
All the other children: Wow, we’re coming.
(孩子们爬进围墙,来到花园里,地上随着孩子们的脚步盛开花草。每一棵树下都坐着或站着一个孩子。)
Child1: We’re coming, the peach trees are happy, too. They are in blossom. Child2: Yes, they are stroking our heads softly with their arms. Child3: The birds are singing and dancing.
Child4: What a beautiful garden!
Bird: (唱歌) Where is the spring, the beautiful spring?…
Giant: (仔细聆听)Really beautiful! I haven't heard a bird singing the song for a long time.
(巨人从树后站起来,向前面望去)
Bird:No snow, no wind, the spring comes!
Giant: Spring finally comes.
(巨人被眼前的景象所吸引,不由自主的慢慢靠近孩子们。巨人走到一个小孩身边时,那孩子才发现,吓了一跳。)
Child 1: Sorry, I’m so sorry. I’ll go outside right now.(
快速退到围墙边,其他孩子也跟着来到围墙边)
Children: We’re so sorry, we’ll go outside right now.
Giant: Never mind! Never mind! Boys! Welcome to my garden! From now on, it’s our garden, our, our! You see? Yours and mine. Invite your little fellows to play in our garden.
Child 1: Really? Really? (迟疑了一会,得到巨人再次肯定的回应。Yeah!!!) (跑去叫其他的小伙伴)
(其他孩子迟疑地互相推搡着来到花园围墙边,谁都不愿意先迈步进去。巨人看到这种情况,上前拉起孩子们的手.)
Giant: Let’s pull down the wall. OK?
Children: OK! 孩子们在推倒围墙后在花园里欢快地玩耍着,一路玩、一路花盛开,一路绿色、一路生机!
Giant: Oh! My god! The trees turn green. The flowers are blooming. Now I see, without the happiness of children, the garden will not become beautiful! (欢快的音乐起。孩子们拉着巨人的手一起欢快地跳舞。音乐渐止,下场……)
